This has been the most incredibly frustrating experience I've ever had with an automotive service chain. I called to make an appointment for my husband's work van. We dropped the vehicle off on a Friday. On a side note, appointments apparently mean nothing to Pep Boys, you might have well just be a walk in. You will not be served any faster. So they proceed to cancel the appointment without calling us, merely sent a text saying it had be cancelled no information as to why. After finally getting a hold of them we found out they wanted to add more services to what we what we originally requested. They are able to get the okay form my husband's employment to do the work. It was two days before we could get the van back. After calling, they told us when it was going to be done over the phone but when we went to pick it up they tell us "no, it's going to be another 2 hours". This was especially frustrating because we live almost and hour away. All this to say please do NOT waste you're time here.

I try to give companies the benefit of the doubt after reading bad reviews but I should have listened and called another place. I called and told them the exact specific tire I wanted on my SUV, when I picked my car up they were the same brand but not tire! They also charged me $16 for brand new valve stems but they were old and corroded. Next time I'll pay Walmart $400 for 4 brand new tires of MY choice instead of waisting time with this shop and their employees. Now to my husbands car, we had a 10am appointment just to get the two back tires replace, that's it. his car sat at their shopLot for 5 hours before we called to see how much longer , they said an hour more because it's being worked on, we drove by and it was still sitting in the parking lot so we got it and left. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND pep boys!!!!

Chris went above and beyond the call of duty when he changed my tire, I walked in 5 mins or less before close and did it with a smile! Thank yall so much

I have been using this Pep-Boys for 6 years. They have gone through several management changes. Some how they keep giving good service through all the changes.Update. I had my first problem with Pep-Boys. I had a check engine light come on. Pep-Boys said it needed a fuel pump, spark plugs, and some kind of fuel cleaner, $1400.00. One week later the check engine light came back on. They reset the light and said it was a gas cap. I installed a new gas cap. Another week has gone by and now another check engine light is on.
