My children (10 and 7) have attended this camp every summer for the last 5 years. My husband speaks Spanish but I do not. I am very committed to ensuring that they speak Spanish well! My children love the camp and after each full day (in Spanish only) they are more and more comfortable speaking in Spanish. My in-laws and my husband notice the difference it makes in their knowledge and confidence. The children more naturally respond to their grandparents in Spanish. They spend the whole day immersed in the language- enjoying various activities, crafts, yoga. I highly recommend this camp. The instructors are amazing instructors with kind hearts! The owners, Roberto and Adriana are amazing, kind and very knowledgable. You can not go wrong with this summer camp! And when camp finishes, you can continue classes weekly during the school year if you would like. My children do this too and excel in their Spanish classes at school. A wonderful program!

I highly recommend this camp to parents who want their kids to learn Spanish. This is the second time I enroll my son in Viva El Español. My son really enjoyed his time (4 weeks) there last summer and his Spanish improved a lot. The staff and owners are very friendly. They treat us like family. My son also goes to the their Language school for weekly Spanish class. We are an Asian family, neither me or my husband speaks any Spanish. My son speaks fluent Spanish and he is our translator when we need to communicate with someone who only speaks Spanish. I glad I made the decision to send him to the class and the camp.

This is a wonderful camp! The excellent owners and staff treat the kids like family. The kids have a blast while practicing their language skills through games, songs, and other activities. We attend camp every summer and tutoring during the school year.

This is the 3rd summer we enroll our daughter in Viva El Español. She really enjoys her time there, and we really love the immediate impact this immersion program has had on her Spanish speaking skills. It’s quite amazing. Even the Spanish teacher at my daughter’s school commented how much-improved her Spanish speaking skills were after spending a summer in the Viva El Español camp. If you want your kids to learn or improve upon their Spanish skills over the summer, I recommend Viva el Español.

My 3 year old went to the summer camp for two weeks and loved it. I now started taking him to Spanish class weekly. The staff and owners treat us with a lot of care and respect. I highly recommend this place.

Viva El Epañol is indeed the Ritz Carlton of all language camps, no question! I'm a professional Portuguese teacher and a language lover. I speak 5 languages, so it's extremely important that my kids learn English, Spanish and Portuguese during their first years of childhood in a natural and fun way. They have been receiving the Spanish portion of the "language soup" on the menu from Viva El Español Summer Camp. I love this summer camp because it's a bit more academic then the other Spanish summer camps I have tried before and THAT blended with some water colour painting, games, sports, Zumba Classes and water fun is the way to go! I looooooove to receive at the end of the week the package with everything my boys have done throughout the week and I do go over everything with them at home. The packages sent home is an opportunity I have to vizualize in a concrete way what they did and talk to my kids about it!!!! Viva El Español!

This is a great summer camp. My daughter became very comfortable in speaking Spanish. She seemed to have understand a good amount of Spanish but never spoke in Spanish at home. Her camp teachers really helped her open up. After a few camp classes, she returned home singing songs in Spanish and allowing me to read to her books in Spanish. We now even play Spanish camp at home.My daughter also enjoyed her summer camp as well. She made many art and craft projects, had lots of physical activity, and came home happy every day after camp. She also enjoyed the delicious food that is available for lunch for an additional charge. The food was healthy and varied.Overall, I highly recommend Viva El Espanol Summer Camp. The teachers and staff are very qualified and caring, helping the children have a great, memorable and educational summer.

I didn't know anyone who sent their children to this camp so I had no idea what to expect. I really wanted my children to attend a Spanish immersion program so I took the chance and signed my 5 and 7 year-old daughters up for 2 weeks of camp. Well it turned out to be the BEST decision. Not only did my children have so much fun but they learned so much. By the third day I could see a huge difference in their comfort level in speaking Spanish. Finally they were actually speaking Spanish at home. Roberto and Adriana who own and run the camp are so warm and caring. And the staff does an amazing job of filling each day with meaningful and fun learning experiences. I can not say enough about this camp. My daughters are already looking forward to going back next summer.

My 4 year old daughter is so excited to go to camp every morning. Her understanding of Spanish has increased dramatically in just 4 weeks. The camp teachers are caring and really seem to know my child and strive to meet her needs. I'm impressed with how quickly my 4-year old adjusted to this new atmosphere speaking only Spanish all day. She has even made new friends. The greatest benefit of all is listening to her sing so many new songs in Spanish. We will continue for the rest of the summer and come back next year.

My daughter Heidi started taking Spanish classes 6 weeks ago. Before the class, she did not want anything to do with Spanish! Since beginning the classes, her comprehension has increased tremendously and she is always wanting to know how to say things in Spanish. The staff is fantastic, they make the kids feel real comfortable and confident in speaking Spanish. The owner of the school is very personable and makes an effort to get to know all the kids and their families. I have since registered both my kids in the summer camp, and cannot wait to see the progress they will make.

Our children loved their second summer at Spanish camp! It is a wonderful way for them to have fun and continue to practice their Spanish during the summer. The teachers are warm, nurturing, dedicated and energetic! We feel lucky to have found Viva el Espanol (by Step by Step Languages) and its owners, Roberto and Adriana.

Can't say enough good things about my experience there. My kids have gone 2 summers, as well as taking classes during the school year. They love every minute of it & I love that they are improving their Spanish. The director & teachers are all caring and just wonderful with the kids. Highly recommend!

Our children, ages 6 and 8, attended Viva el Español in 2012 after several classmates recommended it as an excellent Spanish summer camp. The program impressed us so much that we enrolled both kids in weekly classes at the school-year program operated by the same owners (Step by Step). Their Spanish language skills have blossomed tremendously over the past year and they literally run from the front door to say hello to the owner, Sr. Roberto, who warmly welcomes all his students.Roberto and his staff run a summer camp that completely immerses attendees in the language, and kids are having so much fun they don’t even think of it as “learning”. My children would regularly sing songs and act out the plays they performed at the end of each two-week session. Many if not all of the staff are language teachers and know exactly how to encourage every student no matter what their Spanish language proficiency upon arrival. When my 8 year old started in the first session she could barely speak a word in Spanish, but with constant reassurance, encouragement, and positive reinforcement from staff she was happily chatting with her teachers and new friends by the end of the summer. We have already re-enrolled for summer 2013 at Viva El Español and look forward to another summer of learning, laughter and friendship!

I have nothing but the BEST things to say about Viva el Español. The teachers, staff and owners are simply so caring and so nice. Everyone has a genuine interest in my son and his progress. My (almost) 4 year old has been taking classes through Step by Step for about a year now, he attended the Summer program last year, and I am re-enrolling him this summer. Although we speak Spanish in our home, the classes reinforce the learning process using vocabulary that is different from his day-to-day language. It's a wonderful program!

Our two children, aged 7 and 3 have been attending weekly Spanish classes at Step by Step for almost 1 year. In this time it has been amazing to see their progress and growing comfort level in Spanish, given that we are not a Spanish speaking family (we speak in Hindi at home). Two things that have stood out for us as special are: 1) the hand crafted study materials that are so age appropriate, and 2) the passion put in by owners into what they do. Roberto must know every child individually and takes time to speak with the children and their parents. We are happy with the progress our kids are making and happy to recommend Step by Step to those wanting to give the gift of language to their children.
