First, the salon itself is rather dirty and cluttered; the nail techs spend the entire time loudly chatting amongst themselves which obviously means they are not concentrating on doing the job the client is paying them for; my pedicure started peeling three days after I had it done, and the manicure was not cleaned up so polish was left on my fingers. Not a great experience, to say the least

The manager/staff treated me horrible and kicked me out because I politely asked them to not scrape my nail to remove the gel polish, as the machine was hitting the nerve causing me pain. I asked the nail tech to allow for the foil and nail polish remover to soak the nails before scraping, and to allow for the gel to come off easier. Because of this, the front desk guy/owner rudely asked me to get up from the nail techs chair and went ahead and sat another client. Then he screamed at me, and told me. "Now go sit there and wait for 20 min!" as he pointed to a chair. I was in shock but proceeded to sit quietly. Then he asked me get up and to show him my nails, and ignoring my original request, he went on to scrape my nail to the point that I screamed of excruciating pain!!! Turns out, the first tech, because she was in a rush, or being rushed, scraped the nail polish all the way down to the skin. When I showed him, he said that I was not the expert and that they did this all the time. With a complete rude attitude and disregard to me, he proceeded to continue to scrape to the point that I had to pull away because I was in terrible pain. My nails were burning! At that point he told me to get out of his establishment! I had to leave with some of the foils still on... It's important to note that we as clients go to a place like this to relax, to enjoy and for the experience. Service is what I pay for. If I am going to go to a place to be disrespected and treated like garbage, I will guarantee you that I won't be giving you my money ever again! I recommend for everyone who goes to this place to demand superior service and respect. If they don't give it to you, boycott them! There are a million nails places in Miami and you should not have to put up with rudeness and disrespect from this establishment. It is clear the front desk guy/manager and staff lack the people skills to handle their clients nor do they care for them. If I could give zero stars I would!!! Save your money, demand quality service and respect and take your business somewhere else. This nails spa sucks!!!!!!!!

Terrible service! We made an appointment however upon arriving the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly rude and told us that we had no appointment. We experienced very poor communication the people are very very rude and I will never go back there again and I recommend that you do the same. I will never go back to this place ever

The staff is terrible, they are so inconsiderate. I had an appointment and when I went in they completely forgot that i made the appointment and he blamed it on me. The man at the front is so rude and he has no consideration for his customers. I have been there plenty of times and he's always in a grumpy mood and not helpful whatsoever. Therefore I won't go there again and the quality of work is not worth the trouble.

I recently gave a 5 star review after my 10 years of going to Somi Nails but due to recent events, I had to change my review to a 1 star and this is why? As I stated before, I have gone to this establishment after 10 years and got to be very friendly with the owners, especially Kenny. However, due to the most recent events at this establishment, I no longer am a customer. Why? It has been apparent that this establishment was heading down the wrong direction when two of their top nail technicians (Chi and her husband) decided to call it quits and head to another place at the Falls. If anyone knows where they went, please message me here. Anyways, I have dealt with the occasional chatter here and there that has been sometimes too loud or just too much to be able to enjoy a relaxing day while being pampered with a manicure and pedicure. Lately, they have had too much LOUD chatter among themselves without any disregard to their clients. This time I was the victim of the LOUD harassing chatter and I just had enough. While getting my dips that I regularly get with Don (who by the way is the best at Dips), the nail technician next to him decides that it was ok to prank call someone on her phone and have my nail technician participate in the call while working on my nails. I thought maybe it was just a brief moment that she needed him to communicate with the other person on the phone but it didn't stop there. She continued to call this person on the phone and place the phone in front of my nail technicians face about two to three times while he was trying to finish my dips. I finally told Don to please have her stop or it was truly going to get me upset. Well, it did not stop. She kept harassing him to continue to speak to whoever was on the phone so I finally had enough and got up and went to Kenny for the complaint. Now here is the big kicker of them all....You know the, saying, "the customer is always right?" Well in this case, Kenny did not like that I was complaining to him about his staff in front of his establishment while other people were there so I was apparently "Disliked and Blacklisted" from his salon. Yes, after 10 years of loyal patronage, 20% tips (even when they gave a bad polish, and taking all the chatter from them) I was banned forever. After I told him what had happened, Kenny asked that I no longer call them or come by to the salon. ????? Does that even make sense???? Even though I was the one that was being bothered by the staff while getting service. Its a shame....After all the years that I have put up with their chatter because I liked the owners and wanted to give business to them and their technicians...I was punished for saying one negative word about them and banned for life... Maybe it was time to finally find a new place....I've seen instances where a new client comes in and ask for help for color and no one is there to assist. I was there when someone had just finished their nails and were waiting patiently to pay but the owner and the technicians were too busy chattering among themselves to even notice she was waiting so I had to call them for her.....I've seen an older gentleman with a cane trying to get up in his chair for a pedicure and asking the nail technician for help but due to a language barrier she does not help him and sits down to wait.... It was great at the beginning but it truly has seen some shares of FAILURES over the years. If you read this, please take my advise....Go find another place that will provide you some "stress free quiet time". However, if you do decide to stay and the owners, after reading this review, finally change the way they act around their clients, I did make a difference. I wish you all Good Luck. By the way, I did call them back and ask for service, but you read above, I've been banned for making a staff complaint. If you want to sat at SOMI Nails.....Remember, the "CUSTOMER IS NEVER RIGHT". i loved it! they did my nails so well. great people, they are super nice. the guy who did my nails did a stunning job i love the shape and the color. also a very clean salon and awesome prices for the quality. i had a great time. i was also a walk in and it didn’t take long for me to get seated and started on my nails. 10/10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Service: Acrylic nails

We made an appointment and still had to wait 40 minutes before they started on our nails. They did a decent job on both the manicure and pedicure. I understand that it was during the holidays but the wait time was ridiculous.Services: Pedicure
