wekiva falls is a great place to launch and take the dogs down the river on a Sunday afternoon . Folks there are friendly enough but don't speed through there the golf cart security is a very serious man when it comes to golf cart justice he thinks he got my frond on radar on the cart . Anyhow the river is beautiful and the dogs loved it

The campsites are spacious. The number of bathrooms and showers are inadequate for a resort this size. We didn’t stay in outer loop, and it was still almost 1/4 mile to the facilities. Also, it is not possible to adjust the shower temperature.

The sulfur spring smells so bad that we couldn’t even enjoy the water park area. Cool concept if it was enjoyable. A lot of full timers on property. The bathhouses to shower had push buttons so you could not take a hot shower. Not enough activities. Definitely could use a lot of upgrades. Needs some TLC. I have stayed at way nicer campgrounds for the money. Glad we went but would not go back.

This resort has been a long time favorite for our family since growing up. Whether it be a Weekend visit, camping or staying in the small cottages. 1 complaint but a big one in my opinion. GERMAN ROACH INFESTATION! To the point they are crawling on the “ beach sand “ with you as you lay out. Of course many critters come with being outdoors but NOT German roaches. German roaches are attracted by GARBAGE, which says a lot. There are signs for bears— we haven’t seen one, they should have a sign for roaches instead. They were absolutely everywhere in our camp and at the water lagoon. Disgusting and not something you want to bring home. Wish this wasn’t something I could write about as we love this resort for everything else it has to offer.

I have not been to the falls in years. It was such a nice surprise to see all the positive changes for improvement and the staff are all amazing from the entry and exit to the general store and canoe rental and the tiki bar. You can tell that the staff is happy which makes us happy! Love it and can’t wait to book again! PS we did have some issues with the bear at our camp which is cute and all but afraid this may become a issue in the future!

Our experience was perfect! The staff in the office were helpful and positive over the phone, when I called 2 or more times to verify our rig would fit. No problem they said, and it wasn’t. When we arrived I was delighted to find they were even nicer in person. The gentleman who directed us to our site was also very friendly and helpful. Our entire stay was quiet and relaxing, no issues. The main road is wide with good clearance and visibility, however the side loop roads are very narrow. I had to drive off the pavement in some spots to keep the trailer in the center. We were told in advance the roads are scheduled to be widened and they need it. Also we were told the smell is from the sulphur spring Not sewer. For some, the taste in the water might be a bit noticeable so consider a jug of drinking water. I consider this a very small problem so giving 5 stars for the staff and general atmosphere.

Over all our stay was nice and fun. I wish they would have karaoke for kids but it was 21 and up only. Check your canoe before leaving since 2 out of the 4 we rented did have holes and took on water. The camp grounds would be nicer if all of the full time residence kept their sites up. Or if they had a certain area for fulltime residence and put the vacationers separate. We would return and recommend Wekiva Falls.

Overall, a decent facility. Our only objection was this rotten egg smell around the swimming area. It travels all throughout the park. We thought it was the sewage at first, but then tried to go into the water and walk under the waterfall and it smelled unbelievably strong there! The laundry facilities were okay, lots of hair and dust on the machines though so you have to play operation to keep the clothes clean when placing and removing them. Other than that, the park was pleasant with good neighbors. I was also told not to let the dog go into the water further down from the swimming area as a large dog had recently died from drinking the water.

Very nice RV Resort. I’m pretty impressed with how well maintained it is, and how orderly the community is. Even with as big of a park as it is, and the number of people out and about, it is fairly quiet. We have a Doberman, and typically have trouble finding parks. This park is very dog friendly and don’t have breed restrictions. More of a case by case to if the show aggression. There is a lot of water with the river and several small pond areas. Lots of wildlife and alligators. Me and wife live the walks to see what we may see.

I wish 5 stars because the place it’s beautiful, bathrooms clean, great service and support by all employees, but unfortunately the camping was short in fun, how? Camping site should have had the ring/grill for the BBQ and fire pit at night, kids love helping with the grill, smell to wood and cooking the s’mores. There are several mini grills around the lake but that’s far to move everything from the camping site to there, you can’t park there so you need to carry out food, wood, coolers, and once you are done with the grill needs to go back to the car and drive back to the camping, everyone missed the BBQ process, we came back home with the marshmallows unpacked and kids complaining about, , not fun at all!!!!I have been traveling to many campings parks and this is the first time our camping site were missing the ring/grill.String recommendations: please please please a ring with a grill in each site, BBQ and fire pit is #1 entertaining and activity when you are camping.

We haven’t been here in a few years after having a VERY bad experience with them. Decided to give them another try and everything went smooth and we had a great time. We lucked out with a quiet site away from the crowd. New rules are being enforced which is good to see. As of now we would camp here again.

Awesome RV camp site. Great people. The lagoon was awesome, food truck was awesome and so was meeting the infamous camp site’s black bear “one eye”. If you leave your coolers out overnight, you’ll meet him too!

We only spent one night here, but it was a lovely stay. Check-in and out were both easy. There was an escort to show us to our spot, and he helped my husband pull in. Connections to water and electricity were a little far from our rig (it helped to have extra hoses), but it wasn’t a problem. We didn’t use any amenities, but we hope to come back for longer so that we can enjoy the lagoon. I would recommend this park and hope to come back.
