The golf course is in very poor condition except the overseeded tees. The tees were about as good as it gets. The fairways were washed out and as much bare dirt as grass, maybe more. The greens were very sparse, and had been sanded to help give a surface a smoother roll. It didn’t help. There are huge bare areas on the greens and in the fairways. The greens are struggling to grow grass. Clearly, they need to be dug up and redone. Based on the conditions any price is too much for this golf course in its present condition. Also, the hole designs are quirky and some border on unfair. With poor condition they are unfair. I cannot recommend playing this golf course until it is extensively renovated.

Nica lay out, was not in great condition. Lots of houses around it. The price was good.

Great course. Great determination. I have played at this course for 20+ years. Many times the economy tried to shut them down but they have pushed forward everytime and continued to keep the course in great condition. I'm very happy with the new improvements at this club and excited to continue to be able to play here with my son.

Played this course Christmas Eve. The course is misleading when you arrive. Looks kind of old and not much of anything. Big mistake. Every hole is unique. The greens were hard and super smooth. Lots of undulations and break on them. Every green were consistent without one roll imperfections. They were stunningly in great shape. The layout itself tests all of your shot making. Front nine is really good and the back nine is better. All 3 of us who played had never been here before. I belong to PCC in Pensacola and Pinehurst CC in Pinehurst NC. These green were better then those clubs and that says a lot. Quite the Jewel.

Great course, but watch out for the locals! We came from central Alabama on vacation and thought we'd give this course a try. The staff was friendly and the course was fun and challenging. Everything was cool until a single who was playing moderately quick, came up on us at 9 and we were gonna let him play through. And he didn't want to, he stayed behind us the whole rest of the round and was very uncouth, he was on us about ball marks and divots. We play Farmlinks at Pursell Farms frequently and they have bentgrass greens which are very soft and get ball marks very easy that we have to fix.If I'm being honest we really didn't take many divots, because we couldn't stay in the fairway..... The single was an older man smoking, with a remote control bag. Thought we were playing with Judge Elihu Smails. Fun course, unfortunately we'll probably never come back. Thank you Judge!!!

My experience at Shalimar Point Golf Club has been nothing short of exceptional, earning it a well-deserved five-star rating as the best golf value in the area.
