I brought my dog in for a Spring Dental Cleaning Special, that was advertised for about 89.99. I don't remember the exact price, but it was a good reason for me to get an early cleaning for my dog who I take in for annual cleanings. I received a call in the afternoon from Dr. Nichols who informed me that she should also remove a few teeth. I had not experienced this before, although I had been warned by my previous vet that smaller dogs have teeth issues, so I was not surprised, and this news confirmed the reason for my annual visits. She asked if that was ok, and I agreed. I was called again by reception to pick up my dog. I arrived and was asked to pay my bill of $700! Yes!! I couldn't believe it. The itemized bill was explained to me, and although I couldn't argue the charges, I asked for the Doctor to come out and explain to me why she didn't inform me over the phone what the charges would be. They reluctantly apologized and offered me to make payments, which I was told was special because they don't offer anybody to make payments. They treated me poorly and didn't care. If your read the great reviews for Brightman, like I did before I came here, you will find they were for the original owner, Dr. Brightman, who sold this practice to the new owner, Dr. Nichols. If you read recent reviews, they do not compare to the original owner. This is not unique. Yelp needs to mark in an obvious manner whether a business and its reviews are for a different owner.

Love the entire staff. Professional and caring. Despite my cat Oz only wanting to be in a basket they understood and treated him like family. I felt the care they had for him when it was time to let him go. Thank you for making a painful time feel like a proper gathering for the passing of a loved one. It meant so much to us.

Having just moved to the area, I was referred to Brightman Pet Clinic as a caring, honest place to take our family dog when it had to be euthanized. The experience was horrible. First, they only do the procedure in the late afternoon. Our dog was old, and we knew the time would come when we would have to out her to sleep. However, the last couple days were bad. She deteriorated quickly. When we made the decision to euthanize her, waiting all day for the procedure was emotionally taxing. The worst part was when we arrived for our 4:30 appointment. Due to COVID procedures, they were doing the euthanasia in the car. No issues. The issue was we waited 1 hour and 10 minutes - 70 minutes AFTER our appointment - for the vet to finally come out to euthanize our family dog. It made a bad situation so much worse. Of course, the clinic will blame COVID, but 70 minutes! Come on. Like I said, we just moved to the area. I won't be able to give positive recommendations for pet care, but I can certainly tell people where NOT to take their animals.

This office helps local animal rescue with much needed shots and medications at a discounted rate that in turn helps more animals out of kill shelters. Please consider them if you have a medical pet care in the future. Thanks Brightman Pet Clinic for being part of the solution to a FIXABLE PROBLEM. Good happens thanks for being part of the good.

This clinic is very friendly and helpful. About two years ago I got a kitten I named Blackberry. He was very sick. Once I got him stable and he was old enough, Brightman did his neutering and shots. They were more expensive than other places I called, but they really took good care of him. He was checked for FIV and other disease he may have picked up before we rescued him. They also offered pain meds to him which I thought was really great because all of the other places I called said male cats do not need pain control. Blackberry ended up needing some! Can you imagine being fixed and NOT having pain control? He was meowing a lot and trying to lick himself where he was injured - I realize that is normal but it's because they are uncomfortable. No reason to make your furamily member suffer! Unless that is how you treat all your kids? Lol. I hope not! In the office the sell some really great candles for pet odor control. They are pricy but fantastic! Green Apple is very fresh smelling and does not trigger my migraines or my son's asthma like many scents do. I have called in MANY questions and concerns and they were all answered promptly and with professionalism. We will go back to this clinic as needed and I would recommend to anyone. Remember, the cheapest is NOT the number one thing to look for when booking your pet's surgery (spay or neuter)!!! If you cannot afford to have your animal safely fixed you probably annoy afford your animal. Pets are family members and family members get sick. Getting sick can get expensive fast! Make responsible choices and find a vet you can trust like Brightman!
