On a Neighboor’s recommendation I hired Mike and I payed him $1000 on August 2022 for parts needed for service on my two Yamahas. On Aug 25 he said he was delayed and could not get to my job until next Monday. At that point my dock builder started to demo my dock and I had to move my boat. In October he finally reached out to me to see if I was ready for service. Already disappointed that he had stopped communicating for an entire month, and financially drained from emergency surgery, I asked for a refund or the parts he had supposedly purchased. He said he would itemize and let me know. He has not responded to my calls and texts since Oct 17, 2022. Should I safely assume he has stolen my deposit?

Mike is a nice guy and has knowledge and experience. But he came up short in his promises for the service that was to be provided. I like the guy but I cannot recommend someone that does not finish the job, that does not show up on time or even for weeks after an appointment and does not call to explain why, . My experience with him was exhausting and in the end after months of dealing with frustration I had to give up and find someone else to fix the issues. He will not take care of any problems that may happen with his work. Not trustworthy. Don’t use him.

He has the knowledge and experience needed but there are big issues with punctuality and professionalism.
