“The ultimate definition of buying local is smalltime dealing with our neighbors. I still prefer the 50 year old Park Street location but it looks as if our local flea market is making a comeback. The original Pinellas market was a victim of COVID. There are well over 100 regular people selling their old stuff. There are many farmers market type vendors as well. I'm strictly a buyer, though I dream of unloading a garage full of unwanted things I have managed to collect in my lifetime. With all of my friends going organic, whatever that really means, I'm ashamed to admit that I go there for the end of the day vegetable deals. Most fresh fruit tody won't be next weekend. At the last few hours on Sunday you can strike a good bargain. So, I wear my rosary beads and wash my vegetables well.”

“The one cashier who was working was short with me when she had to come over and help with the self-checkout lane. I had tried two different debit cards and canceling and so on but the machine was not working. She punched a couple buttons and said I don't know what to tell you and walked away. Otherwise the store is neat and no other problems.”

“I always get tomatoes here. I love the dolmas, fresh herbs, little potatoes, and when she has fresh figs. There are Dried spices and herbs. Oil and balsamic vinegar… canned goods and all types of packaged rices…. Cheese, baked goods … especially baklava. I can always find something new to try, and also tried and true. She is always so helpful and friendly.”

“Your neighborhood Aldi, everything you expect to find and a few extras. Try their cheesesticks, my favorite above nationa name brands.smaller selection or fruits and veggies, but always great looking and much better prices. The only downside is that if you see something you like, get it and get extras because you might not find it again.”
“I love coming here! The prices are very affordable and everyone that works there is so very kind! In response to some of the not cool reviews— when you go to a big box store (one of the reasons) you are paying an extra cost because each piece of produce is almost always in pristine condition. And those not pristine get thrown in the garbage at those places creating food waste. Veggies and fruit don’t need to be pristine to be eaten. There are very FEW local produce markets— so please shop local and pour into your community. And it’s wonderful because the meat marketing is right next door!! One stop shop for all your eatin’ needs!”
“Cute little Mexican store and Restaurant. Really nice people and We loved the food. We ordered tacos, rice and beans. The tacos are only $2.50 each and worth it! The beans and rice were the best I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend giving it a try. We will definitely be going back.”

And if you come in taste some soft serve samples and grab a large cone! and then check out all the cool local widgets, trinkets and fun classic favorite snacks you will see why they have been a staple for over 50 years in this area! Come and in before the season ends get some soft serve and memorialize you summer with a fun souvenir or classic treat ? ???

“I like ALDI, however, the minute one learns about a special item that was found - for example, a bladeless fan, electric salt & pepper shakers - it is actually gone. There is not enough. Please, more goodies like those.”
“As a German regular Aldi shopper I experienced an eye opening next level at Aldi Clearwater: the friendly cashier loaded the groceries in a NEW cart while I was still putting things out of mine to be scanned. i was stunned, this sort of efficiency I never saw in any Aldi store before. And likely I saw hundreds in the last decades. For sure most German stores don’t have that space for additional carts but still. Beside that, store well managed. Thanks for the experience (I usually don‘t rate supermarkets ?)”
“My husband bought fresh cut roses at Aldi in South St. Petersburg. The price was $10.00 and he was charged .96 tax. The receipt said 7% sales tax. That doesn't compute. I tried to find out if there is a luxery tax on flowers but only found that florists have to charge 7.5% tax. If this is the case, why isn't it reflected on the tax rate on the receipt?”
“Fresh Produce is what I like and Sun Valley delivers. Much of their produce is vine ripe. I drive past 4 supermarkets to get there. Try Sun Valley you won't be disappointed”

“Good selection of quality off brand foods at a good price. Non food items are also available at great prices. Cashiers are extremely fast, so don't worry if the line looks long or shoppers have a large basket full of stuff. Most of the cashiers, unfortunately, have been replaced by self checkout lines. It's still quick if you know how to scan items.”
