3-22-24 : Why do you think it’s ok to let dogs continuously bark!! I live a block away and can hear dogs barking as I sit in my home. I feel sorry for the residents directly behind this disrespectful business.December 15th 2022 at 8:30am, sitting in my home and I can hear several dogs barking from that location a Block away. I would never trust this place with my pets. I feel sorry for the residents that live behind this place. There is no attempt at stopping the noise.May 31st 2022 and I can hear the dogs barking in my living room a block away. The lack of common decency is astounding.UPDATE: Nothing has been done to deal about the dogs barking at least 3-4 times a day.We can’t even enjoy the nice weather because all we hear is several dogs barking.I guess it’s time to start bringing this up at city meetings. As of 10-20-21 this is still going on, several dogs barking and can be heard a block away. Its obvious the owner of this place knows there is a problem but doesn’t care! The proof, owner responds to every review except this one.SITTING IN MY HOUSE AND ALL I CAN HEAR IS BARKING DOGS.I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW DISRESPECTFUL YOU ARE TO THE HOME OWNERS DIRECTLY BEHIND YOU.There were several dogs all outside at the same time barking and only one person trying to manage them as she struggles with a leashed dog. You are directly in front of a neighborhood and should respect that. How would you feel hearing this every morning and or mid day?NOTHING DONE, YOU ARE A STAIN ON OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. HOPEFULLY WE CAN GET ENOUGH SIGNATURES TO FORCE YOU TO RELOCATE.UPDATE: 10-20-23Was woke up this morning at 7:40am by barking dogs. It’s obvious the owner does not care!

They are amazing and I am grateful everyday for them. I am a new dog owner and Cooper loves hanging out with the other dogs and the Humans. I would recommend them to anyone!!!!

I worked there for 8 months and absolutely loved what I did and who I worked with. They all love on these dogs as if they are their own, except 1 person. This 1 person actively abuses the dogs. She drags them by their collars, she literally chokes them out, she will call a dog over just to grab their snouts and tell them bad dog bad dog while pointing in their faces, release them call them back and do the same thing again, flip their lips under teeth and push real hard into their teeth, sprays them in the face with water for absolutely no reason, and so much more. Myself, current and past staff have repeatedly gone to the mgr and owner about the abuse she does daily to these dogs, NOTHING has been done for 5 yrs! We have been told that she is "loyal" and not going anywhere. For me it came to a head 2 days ago when she was violently choking and dragging a golden retriever by her neck as she laid on the ground. This employee told me to mind my own effing business a when I screamed at her to stop. She didn't and was even more aggressive with this dog. Others tried to make this stop as well but to no avail. I ended up shoving this employee after witnessing what she was doing. I lost my job but she is still employed! I happily take community service for protecting the dogs that are in our care! Your dog is NOT safe as long as she is there! The owners know and refuse to do anything! These parents entrust in us to love and keep their dogs safe dogs and besides her, everyone else does. If she is not actively doing the above she's completely ignoring the dogs and doesn't clean up after accidents in the room, pet them or engage in any way. The owners have let her do whatever she wants with no recourse and that is a shame! It is your job to protect these innocent lives in your care! Not turn a blind eye when you are given specific incidents with time stamps for you to watch videos, so it makes you just as guilty as her. This place has lost wonderful, loving, caring employees because they could no longer handle the abuse being done and nothing being done. Noone should ever be put in this situation whatsoever. Something needs to be done and ASAP! As long as she is working, your dog is NOT safe in her care.

Not at all happy! My 11 lb dashound spent 5 days there. At a cost of $350.00 she never ate, they never notified my emergency contact person or made any attempt to contact me. I feel $65.00 a day is a total rip off. She did not receive any special services!!! Never again!!!

Everyone was so nice and professional. First time there, walked in for a nail trim. They got us in and out quickly. My pup was comfortable with them. I highly recommend them and will be going back soon for a full groom!

I brought my pup in for a wash and cut. He came out clean but the cut was uneven, one ear longer than the other, too close of a shave on his genitals, and various long stands around his body and feet.

Just went in a short vacation and asked Barks and Recreation to send Peggy. She was at our house every day ( twice a day) on time., and sent pics.Fed the cats, scooped litter and even gave them their medications. We wouldn’t trust our kitties to just anyone. Can’t say enough about these caring people.

MY DOG WAS INJURED HERE!! My family members dog went here to get groomed and had chemical splash into his eye. He was taken to the vet after his owner noticed he was very irritated in his eye and in pain. The vet said he had chemical burn in his eye and lost a MAJORITY OF HIS EYESIGHT. When called, the owners of this place would not offer any help with the vet bills which have been extremely expensive or take ownership to the damage caused to the dog. The irresponsibility of these groomers and the lack of acknowledgment on the owners behalf is beyond disgusting. Chachi, the injured dog, is in immense pain and almost completely blind in his eye. He got groomed last Saturday and that night was showing pain, so this is NOT an assumption that he was injured here. The vet clarified that he had burns in his eye and even ASKED if he went to the groomers recently. I would never recommend this place and I am extremely saddened by the pain Chachi has to endure because of what happened here.

My dog was injured at this location. Of course they want to take no responsibility for this. Very upset and I will not be back. I am $850 in vet bills and my dog is in a lot of pain and can barely see. So disappointed and upset.

The groomer Ed does a wonderful job grooming my dog Casper and I have been to multiple groomers in the past three years and he is the best! Also they don’t just have you drop off early and have to keep pet there for hours. Max time is two hours so far as they actually make an appt!

Did a great job on my dog the first few times I brought him here, which is why I’m giving 3 stars. Went in today knowing my dog would probably have to be shaved due to some mats on his shoulders and legs that I couldn’t get out myself after I had to board him for a week due to work. The groomer was not kind to me at all, almost seemingly judgmental of the fact that my dog’s coat was not in pristine condition, which was hurtful (especially because the reason I missed my last appointment was because the groomer called in morning of, and I didn’t reschedule super quickly because I had just put my senior dog down. Obviously, she had no way of knowing this, but this is why good customer service is valuable. It isn’t that hard, coming from someone who has worked in service for years.). Then, I get him back, she had cut his mouth/lip, which the receptionist laughed off about him “being energetic”, even though every groomer, including the previous times I’ve gotten my dog groomed here, have commended my dog for being excellent on the grooming table. His shave job looks awful, not because he’s shaved, but because the cut is uneven on his legs, no attempt at any sort of blending around his backside or underside. I have had him receive summer cuts and he has looked much better due to thought or even mere effort from the groomer. And she was rude, even when telling me she cut my dogs face. I’m never one to leave bad reviews, ever, but I just can’t recommend this place. If the service were better, I wouldn’t have said a word, but it’s audacious of the staff to be unkind while also butchering my dog. I’m not trying to be a Karen, I left a tip and didn’t complain at the store, but wanted other owners to be aware of my experience. It is a bummer to feel disrespected for no reason, especially when you’re being polite and understanding. :( I hope this is taken into consideration. I did not walk in the building demanding she give me my dog back unshaven or make any unreasonable “orders”. I was kind and got a dog back that looks like I tried to shave him at home, all while feeling ostracized.

Highly recommend! We used the mobile grooming service for our two large dogs and we were extremely pleased. Randi the dog groomer was exceptional and very kind to our doggos! Best mobile grooming service we have ever used.
