“This is such an excellent learning experience for all ages! The Pelican Island Pontoon Boat trip was informative, fun and our tour guide Susan, taught us a great deal about the fragile eco system of the Indian River lagoon. We are now more eco-sensitive in our household habits and the 6-year old who accompanied us, has taken many of the things she learned on the trip, back to her school to share with her class. Kudos to all the volunteers who took time to show us Eastern Florida's flora and fauna, they were simply terrific and very, very helpful. I would heartily recommend a trip to the Environmental Learning Centre for young and old alike! Thank you for a wonderful day!”
“They run a thrift store which is open on Fridays & Saturdays. It's a huge warehouse full of items. I like to go there when I have time to browse - so much to see and check out. I like to support the charity - they do good work!”

They are part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, a national organization. Womens Clubs were popular in the Florida during the land boom years of the 1920's. They allowed women to get out of the house and involved in the issues in their community while doing charitable projects. The clubs major fund raiser is the Terror on Main Street haunted house that they put on annually. 2019 was their 39th year of putting on the event on Main Street in Sebastian. The club meets on the second Monday of every month at 7 pm at their historic club building, the Sara Wentworth Rose Memorial Clubhouse. Meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend.”
