Usually gas station service is alright but today I got above and beyond service from a guy named Don. He was really professional and courteous. I really felt the need to give him a review because that type of service is rare nowadays and deserves to be recognized when it is given. This dude needs a raise or promotion. He was very friendly and seemed to really love his job. THANK YOU DON - you made my night bro ✌️

The Circle K in San Mateo is an embarrassment to the Circle K brand. I visit this location often due to the convenience of being close. They are always out of soda and coffee cups and the coffee brewing area looks unsanitary. The bathroom smell like an open sewer. The over all appearance of the store is below standard at best. When employees are confronted with these issues they are rude and abnoxcious. Replace management and employees, might help.

Ice cream is amazing but don't ask for a sample to help you decide as it's a no go. Food smells good and seems like they do a great business just haven't tried it yet.

The new smart scan at the store is useless the big manager has the employees and store manager forcing customers to use it the store manager Ashley is great and the employees are great but for no reason should Haley be forcing customers to use something they don’t want to use putting that machine in was the worst choice ever

Once again they have a store manager with no customer service skills!!!! Witnessed Ms Ashley store manager get a slightly hostile attitude with a man who asked a question about a sale on Pepsi.. then she proceeded to kick him out. Stating that he was arguing with her. He was not. I hate self service machines but I'd rather that then this store manager

On the night of the crescent moon, my best men and I went into the this station of gas to buy some fine mead. But alas! The mead of our choice wasn't on display. "My lord! Fear not! I can see behind this wall, a hall of mead!" My favorite knight said. "Great eye, lad!" He said happily skipping to the mead halls entrance, but hark a sign posted on parchment stated, "authorized personnel". While I am a person of el, I seemed to lack authorization in this hall. So, my men and I traveled the counter where I was met by the ugliest troll I've ever seen, and she hasn't even turned to face us yet! This may have been my most dangerous battle yet, but I fear not. "Excuse me, ma'lady?" I say shivering in pantaloons but trying best to not show it since i'm positive she can smell fear. She turns to face my men and I, "AH!! YOUR HIGHNESS SHES HIDEOUS!!! PERMISSION TO RETREAT?!!" "NO MEN!!! STAND STRONG!!" I try to play it off with a flirtatious smile and smolder. "What's a princess like you doing working in a stable like this?" She seemed unfazed, Drats!! I cut to the chase, "Ok, may I please have an authorized person of el to fetch the mead from the backhall?" She snatched up one of my men and bit his head off, "RETREAT!! RETREAT MEN!!! QUICK, GRAB THE MEAD!!!" We all managed to escape safely, except for Arthur. But tonight, we drink to him. Finest of the men. Rest easy, Arthur. I will be back to avenge Arthur, be warned Crystal with a C.

Let's take a moment to talk about the lovely store manager, CRYSTAL.I went to Circle K to grab some cold bud light for our Black Friday get-together. Unfortunately the only bud light that was within reach in the cooler was a 6 pack, and I was hoping for a 12 or 18 pack. I waited my turn in line, and asked the cashier, Crystal if there were any bigger packs of Bud Light available that were cold, "like a 12 or 18 pack". She said no, and she was sure because she stocked them herself this morning. I was sure that I had seen some further back in the cooler, but since she was so sure, I went back and checked again. Sure enough, I see some larger packs in there, so I went back up to the register, this time approaching a different cashier, and asked her to please check because I was sure I could see some. She went back, and offered me what was available, a cold 12 pack. I happily accepted and told her that the other lady told me there weren't any bigger packs back there. That's when Crystal harshly chimed in, saying that I had only asked for an 18 pack, not a 12 pack. I didn't feel like arguing with her, so I grabbed my purchase and went to my car. Once I got there, I realized how annoyed I was at the bad attitude Crystal had, but at the time I didn't know her name, so I went back in the store, waited my turn, then (while Crystal still had back towards me) I asked the nicer cashier what the other lady (Crystal)'s name was. At that point Crystal whipped around and said "What's your name?" I said "My name is Staci, I'll tell you all day long because I have nothing to hide" she responded with "I have nothing to hide either but you basically called me a liar because you asked for an 18 pack, even SHE (pointing to the other cashier) heard you!" I said "well I thought I said 'something bigger like a 12 or 18 pack, but that doesn't matter. Good customer service would've been you offering to check, and/or offering me the cold 12 packs you had available back there" she responded with "well I didn't know we had those!" And I said "that's why you could've checked." She responded with some snarky remark, at which point I told her exactly what she could go do to herself, in my not most lady-like moment.I am ABSOLUTELY APPALLED THAT THIS "LADY" (I'm using that term loosely) IS A MANAGER!!! Not only is she lazy, but she is also insanely rude! She seems to spend more time outside smoking than she does giving a s*** about her customers. When I go to Circle-K, I'm not expecting Disney or Chick-Fil-A level of customer service, but anything better than a"f*ck you" attitude by a manager would be greatly appreciated!! I'd much rather give my money to a store that appreciates their customers. PLEASE FIRE CRYSTAL! SHE IS HORRIBLE FOR BUSINESS!

The manager really shouldn't be in charge of this store. She is really rude and doesn't deserve the spot she has. Much rather deal with the workers that work at this store. I highly recommend not going to this store, rather go to the store at 17&100 ( handyway on the hill)

The folks working here, mostly gals, are incredibly friendly and so helpful. Truly a neighborhood store feel! Love this store! These folks make good BBQ sandwiches too.

Normally this is a great store and I would recommend it to everyone. However the current manager is rude and crabby about little things such as extra straw, napkins etc. Plus if you longer for longer than 10 or 15 minutes in the parking lot, she comes out until she can best leave because you're loitering if she's going to call the police. She has a bad habit of dreaming that she loudly across the parking lot accusing you of attracting thieves and criminals if you do not leave the parking lot exactly when she says too. other than that other than when the manager is working the place is nice to have his friendly and I would recommend everyone to go in.
