The Wood Floor Store installed wood flooring throughout my home 7 years ago. The entire purchase process was painless because Kathy & Tom (the owners) make it so. Kathy is so knowledgable about all the wood products (best collection in Sarasota) & what would work best in one's given situation and price range. Tom is the expert in the technical aspects and installation. My house was left immaculately clean after the installation & there were no flaws at all.Fast forward to 2022 & I had a water leak that ruined my floors & had to replace them. I went back to the Wood Floor Store & had the same experience. The installers were Mark & Todd. Mark has been with them for 13 years & was one of the 2 men who installed my floor 7 years ago. Todd has been with them for about 9 years. The fact that they have been with the company for so many years speaks volumes. The quality of their work is first rate and they work quickly, efficiently, and leave everything as if no work had been done. Nothing to clean up!!

This outfit did a beautiful job on our hickory floors which were in bad shape due to previous moisture issues. Great attention to detail, careful not to damage moldings etc. Highly recommended.

I would rate them a 10 if I could. What separates service providers and contractors is not when things go right. It's when there are issues and let's face it, construction related projects tend to have hiccups along the way. They did what they said they were going to do and saw the job through from beginning to end, including coming back several times to address an installation issue until I was satisfied. They are a hidden gem in an industry known more for leaving the customers high and dry than treating them like they would like to be treated. Great service for a fair price.

Kathy and Tom Goering have been here for 15 years and 32 years in the business in total. Kathy is the color, design and floor specialist. She knows a lot about hard wood. Tom does all the installation. They work closely with the National Hard Wood Flooring Association and have many qualifications and certifications. I worked there briefly and absolutely loved my time with them. They sell all kinds of hardwood, engineered wood, bamboo, cork, lvt. They have wholesale available for builders and contractors or remodelers. They have an excellent team of installers too. Todd and Mark are extremely skilled. Overall their service is impeccable. They are really kind and honest and hardworking. I learned a great deal with them. Thanks Kathy & Tom and Rayne! Keep up the good work.

I was looking for someone that could basically do carpet and refinish hardwood floors in an 8000 square-foot commercial building. Chris and his team took my time and urgency into consideration and they were able to deliver, and the prices were better than the big box stores including labor! The white washing on my hardwood floors get more compliments than almost anything in my building. I worked for a large flooring company chain in the metro, and it doesn't compare to working with this locally owned business. Chris has more knowledge and experience with flooring then almost anyone I know and everyone I recommend him to will continue to go back.

They do excellent work. We had a botched wood floor job several years ago and the company doing the work simply could not get it figured out. We called the Wood Floor Store and they fixed it beautifully. Because of that, when it was time to re-finish the entire house, we called them again. They were professional, polite and punctual. The results are beautiful.

We had an unusual wood floor and location, but wanted to run with the idea and add and repair, sand, stain and seal. it wasn't in the greatest shape, but did what we could to keep the rustic look. We intended to do most of the work ourselves, but sanding is best left to professionals. I called a few local places and after 2 minutes they weren't interested in the job. Then I called The Wood Floor Store. Jan answered and Tom was nearby and took over the call. At first I thought this call was going the way of the others, but then Tom realized I wasn't a flake and agreed to come out and take a look. Again, this was an unusual installation. We agreed on a price, gave them a call when we were ready, and the next week (yesterday) James sanded the floor. It is absolutely beautiful and exactly what we wanted. I will be staining and sealing starting tomorrow, and can't wait to have our rustic billiard room finished by July 4th. A heartfelt THANK YOU to the whole crew, but particularly Tom for hearing me out enough to come and take a look, and James for unparalleled skill with the German floor sander ;-)

My living room floor required repair & because the floor was installed a number of years ago, it was difficult to match. I had 2 other rooms with hardwood floor problems; I was told by another contractor that they required refinishing. The staff @ the Wood Floor Store worked with me to find a replacement wood for the repair that looks really close to the original & they did a 'buff & coat" on all 3 floors that turned out really well. They did a nice job; I recommend them highly.
