It’s worth the hour drive from Punt Gorda. The doctors and techs are gentle and kind. They answer all of my questions, go the extra mile, and take the time with my dog that she needs.

Been using the West Coast veterinarian for several years. One of the only places that has a holistic veterinarian. They also will do titter for your pet. Which is a test that will test for antibodies for rabies and other shots. If you have enough antibodies you do not need to continue the annual shots.
It is also a great place if you have to put down your dog due to illness or old age. They were very kind and took their time with me and my dog.

This place has greatly helped my senior dog. The staff has been great for us.
Only one thing I'd warn...
Just beware if your appnt falls on any holiday, they won't let you know they are closed.

Doctor Beth Brown and the whole staff were the best I ever had. She took such good care of my dogs in good times ...and bad. She was so loving and compassionate with all of my dogs. I moved to Colorado 13 years ago and still miss the treatment that I received from her and the whole staff. Thank you Beth. Jasper is over 13 and still doing quite well except for some arthritis but we are doing Librela injections now. Still miss your care.

Hemos perdido el vuelo de vuelta a España de una familia de 6 personas más nuestra mascota porque han incumplido los plazos, cuando pedimos la cita le avisamos de cuando salía nuestro vuelo, nos dieron la cita asegurándonos de que teníamos tiempo suficiente. Cuando llevamos a nuestra perrita a reviSion le volvimos a insistir en la fecha y los plazos, nos volvieron a asegurar que estaría todo el viernes previo a nuestra salida (el siguiente miércoles), estuvimos llamando viernes, lunes y martes. sin confirmación de ningún tipo, nos presentamos en la clínica y allí nos dicen que tienen las manos atadas y que no pueden hacer nada, que nos ofrecen quedarse con mi perra por los dos meses que vamos a estar fuera...sólo quien tiene mascota puede entender que eso es como si me dicen "nos quedamos con tu hijo/a y vete tú". Desafortunadamente, una experiencia horrible por culpa de su negligencia.

I took one of my dogs clarita castro and she had a pregnancy and she had an unexpected c- section and we took her here to west coast and sadly her puppies passed away but Clarita we could of lost her and they saved her they are wonderful doctors

Best vet ever! I tried 4 vets in Palmetto and almost lost my Japanese Chin after she was misdiagnosed multiple times. The ER vet at UTC figured out she had CHF, not a collapsing trachea (which she was diagnosed with TWO years and 6 vets ago) . He sent me to West Coast for long term care and it's absolutely worth the 35 minute drive each time. This group truly cares about pets and Dr. Tara Browning is the best. Their prices are fair and they are conscious about costs, walking that balance of running necessary tests, but not wasting your money. They take their time during visits and now treat all 3 of my furbabies. My dog with CHF is now acting like a puppy again. I can't say enough good things about this group.

Caring and very responsive. Our pup had something caught in the back of his mouth that we could not get at. Brought him in, no appointment, and they seen him straight away. Turned out to be a horse hoof trimming! Dogs love them. Thanks to the folks that patiently waited so we could skip the line. Theresa

Dr. Brown was so amazing ! She took the time to review my cats medical history, analyze diagnosis from other vets and truly listened to me as a pet parent. My cat received acupuncture & laser therapy and I was given so many options to help keep her happy and comfortable as an arthritic senior. After her appointment my cat was playing again and could climb into her cat tree which she had not been able to do in weeks. I’m so grateful and thankful to have found such an amazing vet for my girl. 100% would recommend.
