Jennifer P. Hair stylist/colorist is exceptional!!!! I fear the hair dresser and she not only put me at ease, but did a really fantastic job on my hair. She knew my part without me explaining it. She also took her time and gave me her undivided attention. I can tell she loves what she does and she also has great hair! I highly recommend her if you want to be happy with your hair and experience. I’m lucky I found her! ❤️

It’s an okay store. It had all the products I was looking for, and it was clean and organized in my opinion. I used to work at this location actually, before Covid. I went in today to revamp my makeup collection, and it was rather lack luster
One, there was only one stand in the entire store with makeup sponges, makeup remover, etc. I’d like to not have to walk all the way across the store each time I try something on, just to take it off my skin and walk back.
Two, I hate how their customer service is. I also went to Sephora today and did not have this experience, even though I shopped both stores the same exact way. I was trying the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation and a worker came straight up to me, looking almost panicked, and asked me “do you need help?” While I’ve got foundation half blended into my cheek. This was the fourth or fifth person in my 30-45 min shopping trip that said the same thing “do you need help?” Which is fine, I get that people get mad if they don’t get greeted or asked for help as soon as they walk in, but it just felt very overbearing and forced.
Personally if I was an employee at Ulta still, I would use my knowledge of makeup to walk up to a customer and say “oh the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation, very trendy right now! Have you tried it on yet? How does it feel? It’s silicon free, so it applies on my skin so silky smooth. Let me know if you need a color match, I’d love to help you with that!” Then leave the customer if they don’t want any help. It just creates a more personal experience. I feel like a lot of the employees don’t know much about the makeup, or feel confident with casual conversation so they resort to the same old “do you need help?” Over and over and over again.

Today I went to Ulta on University Parkway in Sarasota. I typically go to the one in South Sarasota. That store is organized and the staff are always so kind and helpful. Unlike the one on university… This is the second time I’ve been to this location and have been completely ignored. I could not have been more obvious that I was in search For a particular item. The store Was a mess. It was extremely unorganized And staff members were just standing around chatting with each other. Actually, some Of the employees looked over at me like they could tell I needed help they were too busy chatting and did not want to stop their conversations
The only enjoyable moment was when I paid for my few products )when I had actually planned on purchasing so much more) The only nice thing about this store was the cashier. She was kind and helpful.
I will never go back to this Ulta ever again

Great selection but I walked around the store obviously looking for something and all the employees standing around talking didn’t offer to help. This has happened more than once.

I just have to say thank you to Desiree. She took the time to go through the colognes with my almost 14-year-old. She was very knowledgeable and kind and made it a wonderful experience for the first time cologne buyer. Thank you, Desiree.

I don’t really write reviews but this time..
So I entered everything was good until one of the workers there was looking at me like i was stealing,then i was looking for spf and asked other worker he gave me such a bad look just because I struggled little to explain what i needed until one of the customers kinda supported me trying to understand what i was trying to say, i just didn’t buy anything at this point and went to sephora and they did better job never im coming back there dirty look that person gave me made me feel so bad all day

Very expensive, but excellent selection, and the staff is very helpful to the girlfriend. Not a fan of how they constantly side eye me in the store like I don't belong, but it doesn't cause problems. Girl found her elf products here.

Just had very unpleasant experience at this location….
I wouldn’t say I shop too much but when it do I get best quality products, it’s not cheap… so I used last week coupon plus my points and ordered OSEA serum for 88$ minus the coupon worth. I received the product damaged and with very unpleasant odor. Decided not to purchase same serum but took the cream. The manager treated me like some kind of criminal. So insulting and arrogant. I wanted to use that same coupon that I applied on damaged product. She almost yelled at me that this is last time I’m doing it for you with very looking down expression. This is your fault that I received damaged product. She acted very unprofessional. No human should be treated like some kind of criminal after wasting my time on your mistakes, coming to get my product and leaving felling down.

I had an appointment for a cut and colour for my very fine chin length hair. A touch up on my blonde hair with a toner of which I had the formula. I was there for 4 hours and it was a nightmare. The stylist put in so many foils it took her 90 minutes and almost all my hair was in the foils . The toner from the formula was prepared wrong and turned my hair white with a blue undertone. With the help of another stylist they managed to get a very dull light brown colour in my hair. Four hours later I left in tears. She acknowledged both putting in too many foils and mixing the wrong formula. Four hours and the worse hair colour - full price. They did offer to redo it but I'm not confident to go back.

I had my eyebrows waxed today by SADIE and she was so kind and she did a fantastic job. I normally get my eyebrows waxed at Blissologie but I'll Sadie so good I'm deff coming back to see her.

I had an appointment made for over 2 weeks and I get a call an hour before my appointment saying they did not have enough time to do my hair. I tried to work with them and say I don't need my hair blown out or dried and they said they had no time for my appointment today. I have an event on Friday that I really need my hair done for and they said the soonest they could get me in is over a week. The girl I spoke to did absolutely nothing to make it right. This ulta is super unprofessional and has terrible customer service which is super disappointing because i've heard good things about some of the stylist there. I would not recommend or trust booking appointments there.

Grabbed a few items for a weekend away, two of which I am sure I don't need but it is what it is. The items smell funny, but that is not on Ulta specifically. Maybe just don't recommend these. My issue is the sales associate who helped me. She kept her phone in her hand and was texting and on social media while I was asking for help. That is not okay. At one point I asked a question and she tells me to wait as she continues typing on her phone and laughing. 18.02.2024
