Karen was amazing towards my family and I. From the moment we got there she was able to lend a hand in helping find the perfect car for my mother and I. She is super sweet and an excellent salesperson. She sold us a Buick for such a great price it was of low mileage and was maintained Very well. We will definitely be continuing with Karen for future family cars. Thank you ?

We have now owned seven subaru's
We are obviously brand loyal because not only are subaru's very well made and utterly dependable, but they also offer great value for the price.
Sarasota Subaru has a great service department with friendly, knowledgeable service advisers.
They service our cars 100 percent.
I can, without reservation, recommend this dealership.
It's a pleasure to do business with subaru in general and this dealership.
A note of thanks to Frank in service and Jason in sales.

Went in to look at a used car and had been chatting with Dan Guthrie, let me tell you he doesn’t disappoint! Awesome guy and not pushy at all, one of the easiest car buying experiences I’ve ever had. On top of that I love my new Subaru ?

I recently had an unfortunate experience with the service department at Subaru of Sarasota. While I have no issues with the sales team, the service department left much to be desired.
Pricing Concerns: They quoted me nearly $1800 for replacing parts worth less than $600 (including fender liners and plastic covers). This pricing seemed excessive.
Rust Issue: After just one rainy day, my 2023 Solterra supposedly developed rust in the charging-port's wiring terminals, under the front fender. Despite having an active CPO warranty and a recent inspection(where this could have been overlooked by them), the service person gave no consideration to using the warranty.
Lack of Assistance: The service person showed no willingness to explore other options, such as utilizing the CPO warranty. Instead, they suggested I put the hefty $1800+ bill on my insurance.
In the end, I took my car elsewhere and obtained the necessary parts from a different Subaru dealership, at a better price.
By the way, the service specialist at the other dealership disagreed with Sarasota’s Subaru regarding the necessity to replace the charging port that was allegedly ‘showing signs of rust.’

I was stuck with the most condescending salesman. He refused to work with me and talked badly about me to other salesman in front of me. I don't remember his name, he didn't bother to remember mine either because he kept calling me "Theresa"
I came in wanting to look at one specific used car, even though a used Subaru wasn't my first choice. test drive it and loved it. we went back inside, sat for about 2 minutes and he said he couldn't budge on price or even try to help me make it work. he then showed me every used car on the lot, without actually listening to what I was looking for. at one point, he walked away from me in the lot and told me to "have a good day" without giving me my car keys back first.
he was over me, and upset he couldn't push another used car on me when the one I came in for wouldn't work. when we went back inside, I immediately wished I had a different salesman. literally every other person in that building was nice to me, listened to what I was looking for and made logical suggestions. when they realized there was a car there I wanted, but was out of my budget, they offered to run some numbers and see what they could make work. something my original salesman never offered.
i appreciate the effort of the manager and the other salesman, but that first impression really put a bad taste in my mouth and made me want to leave immediately.

I love Sarasota Subaru! Im 22 and lost my car due to flooding from Hurricane Debbie and got let go from my job as a result of no transport. Dan Guthrie was more than willing to send someone to pick me up (20 minutes away). I told him and the sales manager working about my situation, even teared up a bit. They reassured and found me the perfect car that was in my budget and a brand new 2024 ! Dan was even kind enough to tell me he would contact some people he knows in the service industry and try to help me find a job? we don’t deserve Sarasota Subaru!!

Violates FTC rules by robo calling people who are on do-not-call lists. "Keith Wiggins" left a message asking for a call before I make my next payment and gave a toll free number to be removed from the list. Well Keith, I should not have been on your list in the first place. I've never set foot in the dealership, never done business with them, and I haven't had a car payment in 4 years.

Absolutely 5 stars to Sarasota subaru, more if I could. I just bought my new car today and couldn’t wait any longer to write this review. As a young woman, it’s difficult to find anyone who will see me as a serious buyer and make an effort to get/ keep my business. Sarasota subaru is different. Everyone I worked with treated me with genuine respect and kindness, and made me feel welcome. This was my first time buying a car from a dealership (I’ve been a facebook marketplace girl for too long) and they made the process as easy and simple as possible.
Thank you to everyone at Sarasota subaru, I’ll be back when I buy a new one!

We recently purchased a car from Sarasota Subaru. Our point of contact was Jason Ackerman. We had not purchased a car in thirty years prior to this purchase. Our fleet was vintage Toyota and both of our cars were fully operational as of the date of the new purchase. Considering our recent and historical experiences there was a preference to stay with Toyota, but we cast the net somewhat wider to include Hyundai and Subaru.
Prior to this 30 year period we purchased a dozen cars and took delivery of twice that number of company owned cars so we were familiar with the retail car marketing and sales model. We wanted a 2025 model year car so we focused on the Camry XLE, RAV 4, Subaru Outback Premium, and Outback Onyx Edition XT. The RAV 4 was dropped from the list because we could not get a 2025 model. All the 2025 Camry Models have hybrid engines which was desirable whereas all the Subaru have conventional engines with the Outback Onyx Edition having a direct injection turbo charged engines. Without this engine some reviewers considered the Subaru Outback underpowered.
We arrived at Sarasota Subaru and met Jason Ackerman an affable fellow from Western New York. Color was important to my wife and they had a car in each model in the color that we were interested in. Test driving these two cars also gave me the opportunity to determine if the basic engine had sufficient power to satisfy our needs, it did. At this point if our purchase was going to be a Subaru, it would be the Premium trim. The complexity of a 1995 Camry included a button to turn on the A/C and electric windows. Not so with the 2025 Subaru. This car seems to have endless buttons, switches, and knobs all of which have multiple functions. Of course one cannot omit the touch screen with endless menus. For folks who have owned cars newer than a 1995 model, the transition would be easier. Jason spent the time walking us through the essentials of operating the 2025 Subaru Models. This time and effort was committed without any guarantee that we would purchase a vehicle.
Jason supplied the information that we needed to make an educated decision as to whether or not the Subaru Premium would satisfy our needs. Each car that we considered had certain attributes that were not available in a competitive model. Though compromise was required we felt that Subaru Premium filled our overall needs the best.
When it came to delivery all the paper work was done in house to include the transfer of titles, registration, and plates. It was very smooth and painless. The car was clean and had a full tank of gas. Before leaving the dealership, Jason spent time with us reviewing the essential s of operating the car. If you’re looking for a new car put Sarasota Subaru on your shopping list and ask for Jason Ackerman.
