Wonderful care for my animals. Everybody was really gentle and seemed very attentive. The doctors were thorough and the staff was really exceptional. I feel very comfortable going there. I am in New in town and was referred to Southgate so far. I’m very happy. I have to really put a shout out to Dr. Borland,Joyce and Madi for helping us have a very positive experience.

This was my first visit to Southgate. My local vet is retiring and my pet is exotic. Dr. Casey examined her injury, sutured her and sent us on our way with meds and appropriate instructions. We required an additional visit because my princess refused to take her meds, so we got a cherry flavored one. Staff was exceptional, prompt and courteous. My baby was cared for gently and thoroughly. Her recovery is going very well. I have complete confidence in the staff at Southgate!

Do not take your pet to this place if you value their life. This is the worst place to take them. They only care bout taking your Monday and they are disrespectful staff.

I am deeply disappointed with the care my brothers ferret received at this place. Due to their neglect, our beloved ferret is practically dead. The staff delayed in providing necessary treatment and did not take my brothers concerns seriously. Despite showing clear signs of distress, his ferret was just sent home with some medicine. Their lack of urgency and compassion ultimately led to this tragic outcome. He trusted them with his pet's life, and they failed him. They took his money and was told to just wait 2 days for the test results; it has been almost over a week. He kept calling them but they seem to have no answer. Today he called them again and was told that they finally got the test results, this took us by surprise since they had been receiving numerous calls from him; they didn’t even intend to call back. The disrespect we received from the staff shows the lack of compassion they had for our pet.
I recommended this place to my brother since we even tried to take him to an ER vet but was told to take him here.
I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who values the well-being of their animals.

DO NOT COME HERE! This vet is all about obtaining money from pet owners. I took my ferret told them all the symptoms made me pay over 600$ on some tests they told me it would take max 2 days to get the results back and now my pet is dead because they made me wait on them and I still have no results. It’s been 4 days already. It’s like if I went to the doctor with a broken leg and they only gave me Tylenol for the pain and want me to go back and check on the real problem so I can spend more money. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR PET ALIVE!!!!

Took my bassethound Hank in for a teeth cleaning and a show cut. Starting with the front staff always friendly and love seeing him. But a special shout out to Leila who did an amazing job on his show cut. She shows him so much love every time he comes in and he will only let her cut his nails normally or she has to near by him. Dr. Casey for getting his teeth pearling clean. I know Hank is always in the best hands with Southgate!

I have been bringing my dog to see Dr Casey for about 2 years now. Dr Casey is always a pleasure to work with, and explores and explains every option in care. Joyce, Kim and Leila are so attentive, kind, and very friendly to my spoiled pup. A few days ago I went in unannounced, as it was what I thought was an emergency and they were able to get right on the matter as well as assuring me things will be ok. They never acted like I was inconveniencing them, nor the practice by showing up with no warning. This is a great animal hospital all the way around!

Love Our New Vet! For being new to Florida and moving across country, they were so helpful with the transitioning of getting the dogs all registered with the town and up to date with vaccines! They also got us in within 30 minutes of calling for a more urgent matter that needed attending for our one baby boy! Highly recommend this animal vet/hospital

Wonderful veterinarian - Dr McNamee is so gentle that even our grumpy cat is entranced by her. Her diagnostic skills are great and Carolyn, her technician and the office staff member, Katie, were very helpful too.

All of the staff here were very friendly and very kind to my new puppy. Dr. Mcnamee was my vet and she was very gentle and to the point. Not sure if that is the best way to say it but, I would definitely recommend this office to anyone who cares about how their babies are treated. Lorrie is the front desk person who gave me this card but everyone in the office was very good at what they do. I don't know the name of the initial person that was the first impression of the day that I was there but, she was so helpful and when the records hadn't been sent from the previous vet, she made it happen. I felt very trusting. Thanks to everyone who made my heart happy and treated my baby Lincoln like he was theirs.

Used to be great with Dr. Cohen until the sold out now its all about money. Tell them what you need on the phone guess what happens when you get there? They have no idea what your talking about. Go to a vet that cares. They told me i needed an appointment to get rabies shots when i got there they said oh no its was a mistake and then charged me a vet bill. UNREAL!

I owe Dr Siljestrom so much. I had to put my Bearded dragon down unexpectedly. She was so kind and supportive not only that she did a autopsy and called me to let me know it was not my fault she passed. She went out of her way to make sure I didn't blame myself. Above and beyond the show of kindness. Thank you!
