They do a great job but procedures and meds are very expensive. I will probably shop around to see if anyone is cheaper or if this is the norm. I have been using them for at least 12 years.

The best Veterinary center you can trust your pet with! I have been a client for over 9 years and have seen them grow and take great care of everyone that comes to them. One of the tech’s owns the full brother to my dog!!! I love that they can handle big breeds! My baby, Gibson is a Cane Corso 1 yr old and they do a great job! My old girl Harley is 9 and has been with them since day one. You can be 100% sure they go the extra mile for your pet.

Dr. Johns saved my cats life and I will be forever grateful!! She’s amazing. We will never take our cats to another vet, our kitties will only come here for the rest of their lives. The vets here truly love animals and really care about their health and wellbeing. The vet techs are so sweet and they take such great care of our kitties. The front desk girls are awesome, too! The entire staff here are all just so wonderful and I can’t thank them enough for saving my girls life. I tell everyone to bring their pets here, because they’re the best!

Without exception, the staff is helpful, knowledgeable and kind. We had the opportunity to meet the owner of the practice today, as our Vet, and he was amazing and reassuring about the care and well-being of our puppy Pete.

I have been taking both of dogs there since they were puppies and the doctors and the front desk always so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have always accommodated me whenever my dogs get sick unexpectedly. I love the new clinic and decor.

Awesome Vet Clinic. I had tried another vet in town and was not satisfied with their care. From the moment I entered the clinic, it was a great experience. The ladies up front were so warm and welcoming. I had trouble finding someone who could groom my cat while under sedation. They did a beautiful job! The doctor gave a very thorough examination and called to make sure everything was ok the next day. I highly recommend.

It has taken me almost a month to be able to write this. Our experience with Sarasota Veterinary Center, hereinafter SVC, was horrific. We purchased a cockapoo puppy from Florida Fur Babies in Punta Gorda who, we have since found out, is another puppy dealer in the area selling puppies from High Volume Dog Breeders and others located in an infamous area of Ohio (they’ll be getting their review shortly). Our warranty from them stipulated that we utilize SVC since we lived in the area. When we picked up the puppy on Saturday, May 27th we were given a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection signed on May 26th by Dr. Fifarek stating that the puppy was healthy; however, from the time we brought him home through Tuesday, May 30th he had very little interest in his food, had very soft stool, and was constantly scratching at both ears. Tuesday night he vomited and had diarrhea.Wednesday, May 31st at 9 am we took him to his previously scheduled appointment with SVC. We brought in a stool sample. We were seen by Dr. Kristie Johns. She said the puppy had a double ear infection and gastro irritation. She gave him 3 injections, packed his ears, and gave us metronidazole. No test for Parvo was run at that time, despite his age and symptoms. He slept most of that day and night.Thursday, June 1st, puppy was still not interested in food and continued to have diarrhea. I called SVC and was told Dr. Fifarek wanted to see him at 11. We brought him in. They took him in the back. Dr. Fifarek came in and announced our puppy had Parvo and required hospitalization. We were stunned, very worried, and agreed to leave him in their care. A couple of hours later he called and said our precious puppy was DEAD. He said he had a couple of seizures. We were horrified, devastated, and heartbroken. We never got to say goodbye. He died without us.1. Why wasn’t the puppy tested for Parvo the day before?2. Why did the Certificate signed the day before we acquired him state he was healthy when, in fact, he exhibited the symptoms from the time we picked him up the next morning at 10 am? Did all of the symptoms just spontaneously develop overnight??On Tuesday, June 6th, we picked up our puppy’s remains and posed those exact questions to both vets. The answer to question 1 was “He didn’t act like a Parvo puppy” and question 2 was met with a blank stare. Then Dr. Fifarek had the unmitigated gall to ask us why we were so angry. We have been forever traumatized by this disgusting course of events. Do yourselves a favor and utilize another veterinary practice. There are plenty to choose from in Sarasota.
