Architectural Salvage is a hidden paradise of quirk and meaning. This store has been my Disneyland since I was in high school, 20 years ago. If you feel stale, and listless, go! If you feel curious and open, go! The entire grounds are a feast for the eyes. Make a word in the sign letter garden. Touch a door from who knows where. Dig through piles of doorknobs, knick knacks and you name it’s. Whether you go there for inspiration, to heal your eyes and brain from technological injuries we sustain on daily basis or to fulfill a crafting desire you just can’t quite put your finger on, this is the shop of delights for you. Why “meaning?” Well, perhaps you need to go to find out!! ???* I have added photos of my art supply dresser which received a quirky update. Good ole’ black chalk paint and mismatched gold drawer pulls from A.S. because why not. Also love my new garden shutters for my journal area. They look so cool in the room in the morning illuminated by just candlelight. ??

Great visit to this unique place. It has everything- vintage furniture, amazing stained glass, home decor, iron work, doors and windows, lumber, many decorative items. Everything curated with real care. You won't be able to resist browsing through the whole store. Jesse and his staff are right there to answer questions and help. This is a great antidote to all the cookie-cutter stores you see these days, with the same bland manufactured items. Here are a couple of the little gems I found: a small iron mermaid with green patina that lounges on your bookshelf or corner of a table, and an exquisite English vintage decorative tile.

I love Sarasota Architectural Salvage. I’ve been working with them for years decorating my own place as well as homes and condos for friends. Their selection of unique elements is extensive and ever-changing. The customer service is excellent, too. What a treat!

Very easy to work with and fair.I wish I lived closer! I have the same type of life philosophy- save the old - repurpose -appreciating the craftsmanship of past.

Love, love, love this place! I could spend hours here! The first time I visited SAS was probably close to 15 years ago and it's still just as awesome today. Of course some items are higher priced than some people may imagine but this isn't really comparable to a thrift store or goodwill - these are items you will likely NEVER see or find again! Still, some of these items are priced at less than half of what a new mass-produced one would cost and there is of course zero sentimental meaning and far less uniqueness that route. (I'm looking at you, red door with stained glass that I've been thinking about since leaving ) This is *the* place to go if you're looking for "that" piece you need to fill a space or even if you're missing a piece from something old and antique! They have millions of old doorknobs, old stained glass windows, lighting fixtures (both interior and exterior), tons of random lumber (need a replacement piece for your original hardwood floors? I bet you'll find something there!) and the list goes on! Do yourself a favor and stop by. They also now have an online site where you can check out some of their inventory and even do order online for pickup! Check it out!

Everyone should come here. It’s an attraction as much as a store. Leave the big box stores and come here for truly unique decor and inspire your creativity. Denmy was very helpful and friendly today! We got a great deal on some french doors and decor.

They’ve got great odds and ends for specialty woods in addition to the common architectural finds at a store like this. The team was also very helpful in helping me identify what I was purchasing.
