Cutest shop filled with gorgeous purses from Italy! I bought a beautiful blue clutch that I'm so excited to use. The woman working there was so kind and helpful, even suggesting restaurants for my husband and I while we were on vacation in Sarasota.

Fabulous store!!! Beautiful bags that smell and look amazing. You have to check it out. They have a bag that can be converted 5 ways. Luigi and Belle are wonderful to work with and the owners are so nice. Thanks for bringing a piece of Italy to Sarasota. Don't miss this one!

Oh la la! This place is the place to buy fancy, different and unique Italian handbags. We found this store by luck on our way to another location. Christian was patient and very resourceful. So many beautiful purses for women and handbags for men. You have to visit this store if you're in town!

I'll be honest, it was the Italian flag painted on the bench outside that drew me in! Very lovely window displays. This place is super authentic. Top quality affordable Italian bags. I just returned from Italy recently (I'm new to Sarasota), and was shocked to find a local shop that carries Gabs bags. Luigi made it easy for me to make a purchase- lol. He's a very kind soul. He knows a lot about retail and customer service. I really appreciated Luigi's assistance and charming personality. This place adds a lot of Italian sparkle to Sarasota. I love my Gabs bag. I will most certainly return.

I have purchased 5 beautiful bags from this store and have been very happy with them. Unfortunately during a global pandemic, the men working in the store today were not wearing masks or practicing social distancing. The store was filled with customers when I stopped in. I had every intention to purchase another Gab’s bag, but was so uncomfortable with the blatant disregard for the safety of customers by the men working in the store that I ended up leaving. Nothing comes before the safety and well-being of your customers. You lost a good customer today.

I have purchased several lovely bags and a gift from this shop and really enjoyed each experience: including the St Pete shop and online. Beautiful quality, clever design, fair pricing or better and friendly knowledgeable service. My latest purchase arrived just 2 days after I ordered online and I am far from Florida! I'll always keep Italian Idea on my radar for chic long-lasting leather goods.
