Our stay was terrific. Clean/comfortable rooms, hotel staff was great! Any small issues that arose were immediately taken care of. Breakfast was good and hotel was completely accommodating when we had a last-minute group event that we threw together. We had a great experience and I’d say this was probably one of my best hotel experiences!-Will LRooms: Very comfortable.Nearby activities: Lots to do nearby. Many great beaches within 15 minutes. Close to Lakewood Ranch shopping and white, sandy beaches!Safety: Hotel feels very safe and clean.

Currently staying here and the place is a disaster zone. Construction everywhere. Room is nice thankfully but I hear many guests complaining about how bad the other ones are. Really seems like poor planning and execution.

I was relocated from a hotel I chose to this one, without being given any options. This hotel was under construction, which I did not know about before I got there. The lobby was non existent, the front desk was a table in a corner. My room had a broken drawer and one that would not close. There was no safe. The thermostat didn’t control the a/c and the remote wouldn’t turn on the tv or control the volume. I was told maintenance would come up and program it, they never did. The ice machine didn’t work and there was a bucket of something disgusting sitting next to it. My pillows were yellow and smelled like sweat. There was a hair in the shower that wasn’t mine. The fitness center was closed. I have an egg allergy and the egg spook, potato spoon and bacon tongs weee all sitting together on the plate, so if anyone in your party needs an epi pen because of an egg allergy make sure you have it with you.

This place was dated, dirty, and a significant. Hilton corporate should pull the franchise. List room rate was 187. I used 21k in points to drop rate to 111.00. Confirmed a king single, got a twin queen. Desk chair was broken, carpet old, bathroom ok with loose toilet seat, wall and ceiling in need of paint. First and second floors only available as third in renovation (that doesn't help me), and fourth a dormitory (which was renovated). Renovation noise continued to 7 PM. Evening desk clerk said thats all she had and I could get a refund and go elsewhere. Morning clerk professional would advise the manager. Requested return of points. A week later just been ghosted. Do not book this place. As to the Hilton Promise: It does no exist. David F

We stayed here for two nights to attend a wedding. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was also nice and comfy. All the staff we had contact with were friendly and helpful especially Lisa who served us at breakfast.

Very surprised this hotel was on the Hilton app. Very outdated hotel. Furniture in the lobby wads dirty, ragged and torn. Room was clean but the paint on the bathroom walls was peeling, rust stains in the tub, drawer handles broken. First time I've ever had a negative review of a Hilton hotel.

Check in is listed as 3pm. We arrived at 3 and were told to wait until the room would be ready. Then the hotel seemed to have a shift change and we were ignored. We were not in our room until almost 4pm. The lobby is worn with grimy rugs. The elevators are constantly in use by cleaning staff so expect to wait awhile. The trims were nice. That was about it. I will look at other options when staying in Sarasota near the airport.

Aging hotel with deteriorating rooms. The restaurant apparently forces 20% tip even on takeout and the walls are crumbling and beds uncomfortable. Don't expect a pleasant experience except from the friendliness of staff.

We just returned from staying one night at this location. Overall it was a very positive experience. Pros: Very clean; especially the areas that they have recently renovated. Our room on the fourth floor had brand new carpeting and some new furniture. Fair price. They only charged $50 for our dog (most hotels are $75-$100). Location a couple of miles from downtown and the airport. Cons: If you don't pre-purchase the breakfast (was $10 on top of the base room fee for 2 people) it is $16.95 per person. Great deal at $5 but not at $16.95. The toilet in the room "screamed" every time you flushed it. Overall. We would certainly stay at this location again if in the ares; especially if we have the dog along with us.

Another long-in-the-tooth Hilton property. The staff is super friendly and very good at what they do. The food is excellent and they have a nice selection of bar fair and craft drinks. Where this property fails is that is 20 years old and just getting renovated. Likely the renovation will be lipstick on a pig. The hotel lobby is super musty/mildew ridden, you smell it at the elevators and on the elevator. The bathroom tub has had so much calk slapped on it to hide the mold, it looks like Tammy Faye's makeup. I will be excited to see what the hotel looks like post-renovation, but right now it's a tired old gal in need of a face lift and some mold remediation.

Another long-in-the-tooth Hilton property suffering from differed maintenance. The staff was very friendly, housekeeping was professional, and bar food and staff were excellent. Where this property suffers is from neglect and mold and mildew. I do not have the most sensitive sniffer, but it knocked me over. It was very strong in the lobby and elevator lobby. Room ceiling had heavy evidence of water damage. Bathroom had layers of caulking to hide mold and mildew. One door card reader did not work. I fear the renovation is just going to be lipstick on a pig. The owner of this hotel needs to spend some serious $$$ and bring it up to Hilton standards. Until the renovations are complete, I would avoid, and that is coming from a Diamond member.

Do not stay here. Run down, smells of mold. The front lobby is nice, but looks are deceiving. The rest of the hotel is absolutely atrocious. Don't waste your time booking here, you will just want to leave and go to another hotel. The walls in the hallway are peeling, the walls in the rooms are just as bad. Zero ventilation which is the cause for the mold. Dust build up in the rooms under doors.

Stayed her over the memorial holiday weekend. Rooms seemed small but most importantly need an update. There is a pool but I didn't get a chance to go for a swim.Breakfast was included in our plan and that made up for it.Rooms: Rooms need an update and deep cleaning. It looked like one of the AC vents had mold on it.

Never have we been so happy to leave a hotel! This Hilton seems tired and worn down. We should have checked other reviews from this year, they are right. "Don't stay here." Another review from four years ago spoke of worn carpet, unkempt hallways, careless housekeeping, plumbing problems and other issues. Yep, still problems with the same items. Plus, the TV decided to go out; maintenance is neglected on multiple items. It is just shabby many places, like the guest experience.Hotel owner Island Hospitality Management has obviously cut corners and reduced maintenance. We smelled mold in the halls on two floors; on several floors, the hallways have large areas of wallpaper that have fallen down - no worries, they used thumbtacks to kind of stick it back up. Most of the ripples are smoothed out. Kind of sorta looks OK - if you don't mind half-measures. Which must be the theme of this hotel Management."We will be going into a big renovation in a few months." Said another employee. Perhaps that explains a bit. Management has made a conscious decision to sacrifice the customer experience to save money. This shows in many ways.Noteworthy details: "We will be going into a big renovation in a few months."
