I made the monumental mistake of bidding on items from this auction only to discover many of the pieces were heavily damaged and worthless. If you can't preview in person do yourself a favor and don't buy online from them. None of the damage was mentioned in any of the descriptions. Pure garbage.
Here is a cut and paste of the description of conditions said: - If there were any noticeable condition issues on the bottles or removable stoppers, we tried our best to photograph and show said damage. Please check all images as even if no issues are listed in the description this does not indicate lack of wear and tear.
None of the damage on these bottles were photographed. None of the damage was mention. Peddle your lies elsewhere.

I bought two Picasso etchings from Helmuth Stone Gallery in Sarasota, Florida. The gallery owner, Mr. Brandon Stone, stated that "the consignor's mother got these from a gallery that used to rent space in one of her buildings." Mr. Stone never provided an opinion of an art expert, or any other document validating the pieces. After receiving the etchings, I brought them to a local gallery run by an expert art consultant. She immediately questioned the legitimacy of the signatures. Concerned, I brought the pieces to a highly respected gallery in NYC that deals with many Picasso prints. They also questioned the signatures and, via email, stated that the signatures are “not good”. I immediately contacted Mr. Stone and I mentioned the negative comments by the two very experienced gallery owners. Mr. Stone could not provide any evidence to confirm the authenticity of the pieces because he (negligently) never did any due diligence on them! He had just relied on the verbal representation of the consignor regarding the authenticity of the signatures. Mr. Stone proceeded to send me some pictures of other copies of one of the pieces. All those copied had a different signature! I then spent a lot of time online to find at least one piece from any of the etchings made by Picasso that would carry the same signature that was on the two pieces that Mr. Stone sold me. I could not find any! This fact alone should be sufficient evidence that the signatures are FORGED, but Mr. Stone still refused to accept it. Instead, he insisted that he wanted an expert's opinion to confirm that the signatures are not legitimate. When I said that I would pay for the expert opinion but, if the expert confirmed that the signatures are not legitimate, I would expect to be refunded, he objected. So, Mr. Stone demanded an expert opinion but did not want to take responsibility for its cost if that opinion proves him wrong! I then contacted a very high level auction house based in New York City. The Director in the Prints and Multiples Department called me to tell me that she believed that the signatures on those two pieces are not legitimate. In fact, she even reached out to another expert outside of the auction house to get a second opinion and, even that expert, confirmed that the signatures are not good. Insanely enough, Mr. Stone still refused to provide a full refund even though I proved, in more ways than one, that the signatures are FORGED. In his defense, Mr. Stone provided copy of the alleged invoice of when the pieces were purchased by the consignor. Sadly enough, it appears that the invoice is also a forgery. In fact, the signature carries a date of February 23, 1990 but, upon research, the art gallery that allegedly issued the invoice was incorporated on February 2, 1990. It is hard to believe that a company owner could have found a gallery location, moved into it, purchased inventory, and sold two highly priced items in just 21 days!! Let’s not even mention the fact that the invoice, allegedly 33 years old, was presented to me on a pristine piece of paper (again, highly unlikely in my experience). As a further proof, I contacted one of the top auction houses in the world. The print expert, in writing, told me that in her opinion the two signatures are not legitimate. Mr. Stone, from Helmuth Stone, is still refusing to provide a refund notwithstanding the negative opinion by two highly experienced art dealers, the representatives of two highly ranked auction houses, and one external expert (i.e, a total of five art professionals). I placed complaints against Helmuth Stone Gallery with the Federal Trade Commission and the Florida Attorney General. UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY ARTWORK WITH FORGED SIGNATURES, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!

The people at Helmuth Stone Gallery have been absolutely wonderful and accommodating. There was a piece of art that I was interested in, as it was space related and fit well within my family’s home. I was lucky enough to be able to acquire it thanks to the team here. I can’t say enough how great my experience was, and I look forward to hanging the art piece on our wall where we hope it will inspire my family’s career goals.

I dealt with Helmuth Stone thru their auction service recently. I received very personable service. None of the greed factor that so much of the art industry can display - on the contrary, they treated me with over the top generosity. Kudos to you Helmuth Stone.
