AVOID! This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen. We canceled our stay 10 minutes after walking into a dirty, musty smelling, mold filled hotel room. Black mold in the shower, the grout was so dirty that it was originally white and now black. Brown stains on the chair and pillow, along with dark yellow staining on the bed pillows. Brown substance up the wall. The whole place was absolutely revolting. After cancelling immediately, they denied my refund request. This is a place to go if you’re an alcoholic with no standards. You could not pay me to stay at this disgusting place. It is so dirty!!!!! The lobby up front has been heavily masked with some weird air freshener that sticks to your clothes. The vibe is weird as it’s all about the tiki bar and alcoholic beverages, after all, you’d have to be drunk to even an insider staying inside this dump.Rooms: Extremely dirty. Very noisy.Safety: Not a safe area. High crime, rough area full of criminals and homeless. Lots of drunksWalkability: It’s in a very rough part of Sarasota.Food & drinks: It’s all about the alcohol. They get you drunk so you miss the disgusting lack of sanitation.Noteworthy details: They boast about their drinks and the old tiki bar. I didn’t go to the bar as the room was enough of a horror itself, but it seems hard to mess up selling alcohol

This place is great. The room was clean, the staff was friendly. Pool area was beautiful. The Bahi hut attached to this place was awesome! I had a great time. My only issue is location. Unless you have a car, it was tough to get around. I used Uber but it wasn't the cheapest to get downtown so it limited me in terms of my plans for the trip.

My wife and I found this little jewel of a resort hotel through Expedia. Check in was a breeze, and they had fantastic communication throughout our entire stay there. The room was clean, and the pool was fantastic (Wife was soooo happy). They are less than a mile from the airport, and super-conveniently had access to tons of great restaurants (Rico's Pizzeria & Pasta House OMG!) and places to visit (plus the beach). Check out was insanely simple, and we will definitely be using them on our next vacation to Florida. We cannot recommend them enough A+++. Thank you to all the staff!

Nice upgraded room but they all smell of mold. If you have allergies be warned! Sneezed all night. The pool and lounge area is great but, don’t book a room without ensuring they don’t have wedding or event because you will have zero access. And the one reason we stayed her is to enjoy a little sniki tiki at the hut but that was closed too because of the event. Major bummer. Perhaps posting or letting your guests know would be the right thing to do. Not great and then the manager gives you two drinks for the next morning and says they open at 11:30. Um no thanks I don’t want to be bombed by 12:00. PM. I’d give it a 2 star- room decent and clean but smells like mold and not happy about the event and music blaring until midnight.Rooms: Smell like mold but nice decor.

First impression of the room and the facility was nice, but the humidity in the room was very high and it smelled musty. The air conditioning was quite loud, so we had to turn it off at some point. But what bothered us the most was that there was a wedding in the bar on the day we arrived, so there was very, very loud music and a lot of talking in the parking lot. It was impossible to fall asleep at this volume. It's a shame that you didn't receive any information about it or a small discount and concession. If we had known this beforehand, we would have decided against booking.

The manager, Christina, was wonderful. Very pleasant despite being short staffed. Cory, at the Tiki Bar was wonderful as well! Again, super upbeat and provided great service and tasty cocktails!Rooms: Rooms are serviceable. Roomy, with convenient front door parking. But no place to hang clothes. Maybe because it's "casual Florida".

Nearby activities: Good location. Close to the downtown, the waterfront, the museums, the colleges, shopping areas not to far.One night a car came driving through the parking lot blasting music at 1 am. Not the hotels fault but it was ignorant of the guests

It wasn't a bad stay. The room was pretty cool and the bar was nice and the bartenders were great. The downsides were the room was not cleaned and ready at check in. They gave us a credit for 2 drinks at the bar, but it was only for certain drinks.... That seemed dumb. They said just wait in the bar and we will bring you the keys when it's clean. They never did. When we went to the room it was clean,,, except for the ice bucket which was full of trash. I tracked down the cleaning lady(who was accompanied by the front desk girl) and explained to them what happened. They seemed puzzled and weren't sure what to do. I pretended to look through the ice bucket and pretended I saw a used condom... The cleaning lady sort of shrieked.... But they let me keep carrying it around.
