“Best of Both Worlds; Medical Knowledge and Compassion
I have not seen medicine done like this in 25 years. Sunshine Medical Center goes above and beyond medical care. They are compassionate and responsive. My really good friend was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer two months ago. Unfortunately, she is in the end part of her journey now. She had to be taken over the weekend to SMH because of an emergency. The difficulty of getting any services in a hospital over the weekend is mind-boggling. Having no luck getting the procedure that she needed, I called sunshine medical center. She is a patient of Dr. Rashmi Prakash. Being the weekend, Dr. Shanthi Prakash was on call. She not only took over getting in contact with variety of physicians at SMH to advocate for us, but she visited two days in a row, chatting with my friend to reassure her and and just show compassionate support for a half hour each time. After that, a physician from sunshine, Medical Center came every day that she was hospitalized..
I have not seen that type of care in 25 years. I can't say enough good things about all the physicians there. I would give them 10 stars if I could.”
