My opinion - there are professionals. I had a bad experience with my previous accountant - She made a critical mistake and I loose a lot of money because of it. After this story, I started to looking for responsible and skilled professional. My friend advised me meet with Beth. She is a really professional accountant and nice woman. I thought I was in the hands of a trusted professional and for several years in a row Annette has screwed up our taxes. The first few years were ok because we got more money back than she calculated. This past 2020 tax year she told my wife and I owed $1110, we paid it and revived a letter from the IRS we had a refund coming of $438 and still out the $1,110 and the money we paid to Annette to do our taxes. Was quoted $2500 to get a transcript from the IRS , I would have to give them power of attorney From ez tax solutions . Ez tax solutions said that they would discount it to $500 dollars . Was told other people charge more than $2500 ! I was just checking prices , other cpa s were 100-150 dollars . Be careful ! Check their rates with their competitors .
