Working with designer Kathleen O’Malley Beckett has been a wonderful experience! I called the Sarasota store to inquire about furniture pieces I saw on the Ethan Allen website and Kathleen was at my house an hour later for a design consultation! She has lots of ideas and is very enthusiastic. She was able to elevate the look of my living room area by adding new pieces to my existing furniture. Her customer service was excellent! She was in frequent contact with me from consultation, to ordering and through the delivery. She even texted me on delivery day to see how I liked the room. She shows her love of her profession through her creative design, prompt service, and professional interaction with me. I look forward to continue working with her to furnish the other rooms in my home!

My purpose in telling you about my experience at Ethan Allen begins with being uncomfortable. I love the look of my sofa, but I couldn’t stand how my back felt no support hard to get in and out of, but it sure was pretty. I’m a quality guy and I went into Ethan Alan and I met Kathleen, a designer I told her I wanted something comfortable for a sofa and she went to work. She didn’t go far. She knows her inventory. She told me to sit in the sofa nice sitting in another sofa nice sitting in the third sofa perfect easy to get in and out of and really quite stylish , not a sectional but a beautiful sofa and I could vacuum under it instead of having dust bunnies galore we talked and I let her go and she selected a beautiful chair and. ottoman and an a occasional table so I would have a place for keys etc. and not go searching for my stuff. All told I have a beatful comfortable place that functions

What can I say about Kathleen Beckett!
After being here a week in Florida, having moved cross country… and leaving lot of furniture behind, I was overwhelmed with settling in with nowhere to put things away.
I saw a cabinet at Ethan Allen I loved and headed over to the store in Sarasota. That’s when I was connected with Kathleen. She not only helped me with that purchase, but asked if I needed anything else! Before I knew it we were heading over to my new home. We put together a master bedroom plan and got that ordered as well. Colors, style, placing of furniture. She saw it all! While she was there she also gave me ideas of where to put some of my other things which helped me immensely in the following weeks!
Phase two, I contacted her a week ago to get my guest bedrooms together. I had no idea she was on medical leave. But she did not hesitate to put my needs before hers as the store sale was ending in a few days. In just a few short hours working from home she got my order in and I’m so excited to see it all come together!
So this is what I say about Kathleen! I’m so lucky to have been placed with her. Truly you feel that she puts you first and that your needs are important. She’s more than professional, energetic, loves her job, and delivers more than expected! Her enthusiasm becomes yours and she wants your home to look amazing! So fun working with someone like her, you will be truly blessed.

I recently had the pleasant experience of meeting and working with Lupe Zepeda, Design Consultant at Ethan Allen in Sarasota, FL. When I first called the store and spoke with Lupe, I told her what I was looking for- a mattress and box spring and headboard similar to the one I had purchase 4-5 years ago at their store in Towson, MD. I had retained that paperwork and was able to give her the item numbers for some of those pieces. That afternoon I met Lupe who greeted me with a warm smile and friendly handshake. In advance of my in- store visit, she had already done her research, and had all the item numbers I needed to fill my request. No time wasted here! Then we went straight to the in- store fabric and style design center, where, with many helpful suggestions, she assisted me in selecting a fabric for the headboard style I had chosen.
Lastly, I mentioned that I was interested in purchasing a media center/console. She listened to my needs, offered different styles and finishes, and presented several options that were available. Thanks to Lupe's extensive knowledge of the products Ethan Allen sells, I was able to find exactly what I wanted, and ordered it that same afternoon.
Lupe is outstanding with her customer service. She offered to make a future house visit (an hour away) for free if I needed assistance with any interior design questions or concerns. Lupe was an absolute delight to work with. Thank You, Lupe!!

We recently purchased furniture from Kathleen O’Malley Beckett for five rooms in our new home. She understood our taste and made excellent selections for us. Working with Kathleen was easy, enjoyable and she did an excellent job communicating with us through the entire process. We love our new home and all the fabulous and high-quality furniture pieces by Ethan Allen. The delivery team was also excellent and everything was delivered on time right after we closed on our home.

My spouse and I were pretty exhausted and discouraged with furniture shopping after several weeks of looking online and visiting many furniture stores, some in big warehouses. We just couldn’t find furniture for our dining room that appealed to us. Nearing the end of our rope, we walked into the Ethan Allen at UTC and our initial reaction was….meh. It’s a relatively small store and it seemed we would quickly be out of there. All of a sudden Kathleen Beckett popped over and asked what we were looking for. Little did we know what we were about to experience. Unlike most other stores that have limited selection of furniture, design, color, fabrics, and with sales that push you to make a decision like used car dealers, Ethan Allen, despite their small store, is the opposite. Kathleen explained EA is not just a furniture store but an interior design center and her role as a design consultant is to help us with the decision making process and find what we are looking for, and what will make us happy. We were a bit reluctant at first, but Kathleen’s energy, enthusiasm and knowledge quickly won us over. Despite living a good distance from Sarasota, Kathleen visited our home to help us decide what would best fit. She was extremely helpful, not only with our dining room, but with the rest of our home with helpful suggestions on reimagining the furniture we already had. In the end, we ordered a dining set in a design, color and finish that we didn’t know existed. And to top it off, the pricing was similar to the big box stores. Kathleen is a treasure, look for her if you are visiting EA at UTC!

It has been a real pleasure working with Kathleen at Ethan Allen as our Interior Designer. Kathleen is proficient, diligent, and really “on it”, which makes our life easy. We discovered Kathleen’s talent via reading many reviews.
Kathleen’s sample projects appeared to be a wonderful mix of elegance and practicality, thus bringing a unique and fresh perspective for our soon to be final destination in Florida.
My husband and I are beyond grateful for Kathleen’s genius and unwavering dedication to bringing our vision to life of making our forever home a jewel.

Our designer Kathleen Beckett was instrumental in helping us select wall treatments and furniture for our new home. She has a strong sense of style and an incredible eye for color, patterns and flow. I have utilized the design talents of Kathleen at the Sarasota Ethan Allen shop. She was able to pick up on my likes and dislikes immediately , yet challenged me to go a bit beyond my comfort zone with outstanding results. Kathleen also was able to incorporate several of the items I already owned that complimented my new purchases. She is always very responsive...even when I get an idea in my head and message her after hours. As a side note, she's got a great sense of humor and makes furnishing my home enjoyable.

I recently purchased some furniture from Ethan Allen and was fortunate to have Kathleen as my designer. She was wonderful from beginning to end. She is very knowledgeable about all the things the store carries and is also very witty. She came out to the house before I ordered and when it was delivered. She not only helped with the new pieces she also repurposed items I already had and what a difference it made in the house. If you are looking for quality furniture and a very qualified designer, I highly recommend Ethan Allen and especially Kathleen O' Malley-Beckett.

Our salesperson/designer, Kathleen, was the best! She is so knowledgeable and professional. She not only helped us with our selection of furniture she helped with delivery and kept us updated. I sent her photos of the furniture and she suggested arrangement. Our experience with Kathleen and Ethan Allen was top-notch!

Our designer was Kathleen Beckett, and we would like to thank her for the wonderful advice and help she gave us! We bought a condo and we asked Kathleen to help us furnish our living room. She is gifted with an eye for color and design and after asking us a series of questions about our taste in furniture, she was able to provide many options for us to choose from based on our preferences. Her energy and enthusiasm made it an enjoyable experience! She even made some suggestions about some items that we already had in the house that would compliment the new purchases. When we are ready to make more upgrades to our condo, we will request Kathleen Beckett as our consultant and designer.

Hi -- Worked with Kathleen O'Malley-Beckett on my living room. I already had a sectional sofa so Kathleen worked with that piece as well as the floor and wall colors to create the vibe I was looking for. She is very professional , has great follow up and provided great ideas to accomplish my vision.
