$ .10. to start Used the facility once. Didn't feel welcome. Surprise!! Sitting in collections charge off for $325. Learned something new the hard way. Thank you crunch! You think they'll ever get the $325?

Honestly, they wasted my time with lack of training. I was calling to cancel because I’m not in florida. The worker told me I could not cancel over the phone. They asked if there was a crunch I could go to, to cancel. I said I was in Kentucky/Indiana and there was. They told me to “go to any crunch and they’ll be able to have you sign to cancel”. I go out of my way about an hour to cancel and the one I went to can’t do anything. I call Sarasota back and they could have done it all along with a manager over the phone. Better training would have prevented that and I wouldn’t have wasted the majority of my morning. I also would have canceled much, much sooner so I also wasted some money.

I'd be happy to leave a much higher rating if this gym didn't feature the same hidden fees that I've had the frustration of dealing with elsewhere.
Charging both a monthly fee for another company, in addition to the annual fee included in the membership is simply dishonest.
The staff have mostly been courteous and helpful, and the gym itself is well maintained.
But I have to hold it against them, the ownership, and the chain that no-one had the decency to disclose the hidden fees (nearly 20% of my monthly membership) that would be tacked on each month before I signed up.
If this had been included in the pricing or disclosed to me at any point before signing up, I would happily pay it and move on with my life. $3 more per month is no big deal, except when it's undisclosed thievery.
I would happily recommend this business to others if it stops doing business with ABC Financial and similar racketeers, or at least properly advertises the real fees.

Somer the GM was so welcoming and helpful, she made an anxiety inducing situation a more comfortable experience. I look forward to going to the gym moving forward. While it is an extremely busy facility, the vibes are good now. The old vibe a year ago was not welcoming at all. Happy about this new and positive change.

They use sleezy business tactics to keep you locked into a membership and it says it in the fine print. If you have to move out of state youre forced to write a letter and mail it in... what a joke. Also even after i went in person to cancel my membership the lady obviously did it wrong because im still getting emails from them demanding i pay more money. She must have just canceled my card and left my account still running. If this ruins my credit, legal actions will be taken. This is a complete joke of a gym and a terrible company. The owners are probably a bunch of high ego corporate clowns with no dignity or morals. Sickening to be honest, we are getting railed by corporations enough as is, sucks the local crunch is just as poisonous.

Better equipment than the parish, and 41 location. Some of the best mirror setups of any of the crunches from sarasota to tampa. And typically less busy than the 64 location, plus open 24/7.
Downsidesthat bring down stars: It's a crunch (hidden fees bad contract) and Bathrooms gross it's actually ridiculous, the smell of feces mixed with the piss on the toilet seats (mens room) and the warmth of the sauna make the place beyond unappealing.
Mind you, many times you will see multiple people vacuuming the floor to just blow by their hours and never touch the bathroom other than a set blocked out time.
Also it's very frustrating that they don't stay open 24/7 daily 7 days a week. And the layout of classes during the day takes up most of the gyms prime space during prime hours.
