“It is a great place for people to lend a hand to others. My family has been using MHM for the last year since our new baby was born, and we are excited to be able to donate some of her smaller clothes to help someone later on down the line.”

“Great place to go if looking to adopt, or just visit the animals. The employees are very kind, and all the animals seem well cared for & comfortable. We were able to sit in a room and interact with 2 disabled cats who are treated like royalty. Love going here just to visit the animals.”

“Small service area. Could benefit from more sanitizer items on the customer tables. Hard to social distance in the small room. Food was ok and typical of this type of organization.”

“Went here for a Celebration of Life for a family member and had a GREAT TIME! The bar staff were very friendly and outgoing and the live Band the "NayBurz" were OUT OF THIS WORLD! They were fantastic!!!! The drink prices were a *little* on the high side, but just like everything else that's to be expected, as prices are rising these days. I would definitely recommend the American legion for an event birthday party anniversary or anything in between! They have pool tables darts a jukebox (for days that there isn't a live band) You won't regret it!!!”

“I’m not a staff member at this facility, but I’ve been picking up shifts here with my agency Kare for about two to three months now and this facility never ceases to amaze me. I usually pick up in the memory care unit, and my experience so far has been nothing short of perfect. I love how interactive the staff are with the residents, how they are always keeping the residents active and involved, and how they work hard to provide the best care that they can for the residents. The staff members are extremely welcoming and friendly. They didn’t treat me horrible like some facilities that I picked up at with my agency before, which was really nice because I didn’t feel like an outsider, I felt as if I was one of the staff members. If I lived closer I would love to work here as a staff member, but for now I’ll make the drive from Tampa to work here whenever I’m free”

“After a brief waiting period, I had the opportunity to transfer my mother to The Pines Memory Care Facility from another institution, and the disparity in quality and care between the two establishments is remarkably profound. The professionalism and attentiveness of the staff at The Pines are commendable. They promptly respond to requests, demonstrating a high level of efficiency and dedication. It has been heartening to witness staff members across various roles exhibiting genuine compassion and care towards all residents.I am particularly grateful for the open communication maintained by the nursing staff and other caregivers. They proactively contact me with updates regarding any changes in my mother's behavior or well-being, ensuring I am fully informed and involved in her care. The administration has been incredibly accommodating, extending invitations to care planning meetings and willingly adjusting schedules to suit my availability, which has significantly enhanced the collaborative approach to my mother's care plan.Observing my mother transition from a state of confusion and discomfort to feeling settled and at home within her room has been profoundly reassuring. The cleanliness of her living space and the facility's communal areas is consistently impeccable, further reflecting the high standards upheld by The Pines. The previous facility where my mother resided temporarily pales in comparison to The Pines in every conceivable aspect. I am profoundly thankful for the opportunity to have my mother reside at The Pines, and I highly recommend this facility for their exceptional care, professionalism, and dedication to residents' well-being.”

“This Goodwill location is huge, with an impressive selection of clothing. If you love thrifting, you’ll find plenty to browse through, but be sure to know your brands and retail prices before purchasing—some items are priced surprisingly high for secondhand goods. Short-sleeve tops are $5.99, and long-sleeve tops are $6.99, which can feel steep if the brand is a lower-end chain store.

That said, the store is clean, well-organized, and busy, with a friendly staff that keeps things running smoothly. If you’re patient and know what to look for, you might still find some great deals.”
