My mom and I were cleaning out her closet and found some jewelry and coin. We went to a couple of pawn shops to see what we could get for them. When we went to Cody's Pawn shop we found the owner to be extremely educated on coins and jewelry and he gave us twice more than the other places we visited. He also appeared to be VERY HONEST. Not easy to find today. Highly recommend!! My sister will be visiting him next week.

Was just in stopping by on my way home. There is so much to offer in this! Manage to find some miniat. The shop gave me a good deal on. If you like exploring pawn shops with a good variety of things this is the one for you!

i was visiting sarasota with my boyfriend and we stopped at cody’s… we are so glad we did! i found my dream engagement ring for a VERY reasonable price. rod is so friendly and kind. just a real nice fella. truly an enjoyable experience!!

Everyone really goes above and beyond to not only earn your business but keep your business and ensure a great rapport. Items are always fairly priced whether buying or selling. You’re also guaranteed to feel welcomed and like family/friends. I really just can’t say enough great things, and we look forward to visiting every chance we can! Every visit you are sure to find new pieces and a wide variety of things to look at. We’ve purchased everything from tools, firearms, jewelry, housewares, and more. There’s always something unique with a cool story, too. :)

Came in on 10/27,and was welcomed warmly by the staff. I was there to sell a couple firearm, and was given more then a fair deal. While I was there my wife found a train set, and I a few items I needed as well. The selection of fire arms were on point. As well they are a local ffl. This now has a spot of one of my favorite pawn shops.

Not your typical pawn shop-- the owner is welcoming, very friendly, and knowledgeable. I've been stopping by since early 2022 and it's worth a visit, you never know what they'll have. A wide range of things are found within and they typically have a good amount of higher end items in inventory too. He maintains a nice selection of vintage and newer watches (Citizen, Seiko, Rolex, Omega, etc) along with a decent amount of jewelry (he's GIA certified), coins, guitars, collectibles, guns, & ammo.This is one of the more popular pawn shops in town. There seems to be a lot of repeat customers too, which is always a good sign. Be prepared to wait a minute or so if you have any questions or if you are selling. From what I've seen, he tends to pay petty fairly for a lot of things (especially jewelry, watches, guns) and has a clientele that's a bit higher on the socio economic scale then the average pawn shop. I'm guessing they would rather sell to him than deal with the hassle of Craigslist or eBay and I fully understand that logic.

Great watch collection, Rod was extremely personable and eager to talk about and show us all of the watches in stock as well as other interesting items in the shop. Very cool place with lots of neat stuff. Highly recommend it!

Owner Rod is the best! My fiance and I were doing a spur of the moment elopement, and visited Codys Pawn for wedding rings. Rod didnt have the size we needed, but suggested 3 other stores and gave us advice on prices ranges - the most helpful guy ever! We will be his store again soon.

Rod and his staff are great! Yes, they have guitars, guns, tools, coins, and jewelry- all in great condition, but you will also find many neat items not usually seen in other local pawn shops.Highly recommended!
