Went to the UTC mall to return some items I bought online. Met one of the most unfriendliest employees of Chico's that have ever ran across. The woman barely talk to me and after she rang up my returns, she turned her back on me. Don't know if she was having a bad day or not but I was surprised cuz Chicos is known for friendly employees.

Well, my wife's experience here seems to have been quite different from the other reviewers. She went to the store looking for some items for her Mom a few days ago This is my wife's account: She found an item of interest from the sales section, approached a salesperson (who will remain nameless for reasons to be seen in a moment) and asked if they could find it in a different size at another store and have it shipped (which I had done several times at our local Chico's-not a problem) another salesperson came over and exclaimed loudly that \\\"what company do you think would ship a sales item and pay for shipping - you can go to another store and see if they will do it for you!\\\" I had not even asked for them to pay the shipping so I don't know why she said that. I was very upset as I was not asking for anything I have not requested without a problem at other stores including our local Chico's. She also would not identify herself when I asked for her name. All of this could have been racially motivated since I'm Asian - she might buy into the stereotype that we're all cheap and looking for extra discounts all the time. In any case I was angry, left and called corporate, which has not called me back although they had indicated a manager would. Big failure all around for this company that should be looking to acquire customers rather then drive them away in our current economy - people like this shouldn't be in sales.
