“What an amazing rental experience owner and staff. I needed a last minute pickup truck rental to remove some storm damage from Milton Kris immediately started looking to help me within an hour she had a truck for me. When I went into the rental office I was met by a smiling and friendly staff member who was more than patient with me. Being from out of state I never knew I had to put a travel note on my card with my bank we had a lot of laughs with me trying to get it lifted she was great. On the return the next day both staff members made me feel like family. I highly recommend Avis at 435 North Washington in Sarasota. I will definitely be a repeat customer.”
“I have to say that the employees at this enterprise were very helpful and kind, Especially Rel. I was upgraded due to an issue with the vehicle I initially reserved. Rel explained everything clearly to me, including what my final cost would be. No hidden fees or issues with my bill. What I was told I would pay, was what my final bill was. We inspected the car together when I received the car and when I returned the car. I found Rel to be refreshingly nice to deal with. She was very upbeat and happy doing her job. I will always rent from this Enterprise when in Sarasota FLA.”

“Family owned business. Nice cars at a very reasonable price. The cars are not as new as the big rental companies but are in pristine condition at about half the price.
I rented a year old Kia that ran perfectly and got good gas mileage.
Friendly staff. Highly recommend.”

“This was the second time I rented a truck while I was having service performed on my work truck and once again these guys rose to the occasion. They are super pro, friendly, with vehicles that are in great shape, clean, and perfect! I worked with Braden and he has such a great personality and was awesome to work with. If you need a truck to tow or move something heavy, look no further than these guys!”
“The staff makes a big difference: I rented a car in Orlando but got a nail in rear left tire in Tampa, so I went in this branch to try to solve the problem, the first employee said I can get a replacement car when he found there’s a nail on tire, but the second guy (shorter manager if I recall correctly) refused it completely, and I have to drive to shop cross the street, still not working because no exact size tire available, i went back to this branch and talked to another manager (the taller one) who was very nice and helped me switching to another car, problem solved!
I could have rated 1 star if the taller manager wasn’t onsite.”

“This guys is very very easy going on compromise, we have been late 30 minutes after close hours because there was tropical rain, and they were waiting for us outside. Moreover, they gave us extra hours again because of tropical rain storms and so we gave enough time for riding slingshot.”

I witnessed someone getting upset at one of the ladies working the front desk that they wouldn't take a prepaid card and she was polite the whole time even when they stated they were going to come here and leave bad reviews and then some. “I recently rented from Payless because they were cheaper than other options. All in all my experience was very good. The wait in line to get the rental was around 10 minutes or so, but it was 10:00pm and there was only one person at the counter which is not odd for the cheaper companies. The car itself was from Canada and was pretty rough on the outside, scratches and stuff. I was sure to take photos of the car before I left just in case, as I would do with any rental company. The inside however was nice and clean, no floor mats though. The return was easy and the staff was very friendly. I see many negative reviews and I’m not saying they are not accurate. People have different experiences with companies but I fortunately had a good experience with Payless. I would use this use the company again.”

“Not had a good experience with Avis, but the reason I’m leaving a review is because of the lovely Frank at SRQ Avis. We have had multiple issues with the cars we have rented and have had to waste precious time of our vacation stood in line waiting to change car. However, the service from Frank today was friendly, understanding and kind. Thank you!!”

“Hertz Rental at Sarasota Airport is friendly. The only draw back is the car return to the airport terminal they don't offer handicap wheechairl assist to the main building. The Delta airline or any other airline do not come to the car rental return to pick you up either. As a solo traveling and require assistant when I flying and traveling - I struggle with walking my luggage and a cane walking distance especially in the open enviroment area and having to watch every step outside for uneven areas or cracks or holes. I had to do some conversation at the departure drop off to see if I could get at least someone from my airline to meet me at least at the baggage/ car rental area to assist me in the building to check in for the rest of the flight. I did and thankful they had a skycap just got there as i walked into the door . I realize it is a small airport but I am thankful they assist me to my car rental area arrived to get into my car. Needless this needs to be improved at this airport on returning car and airlines needs greater improvement to help with handicap assistant upon returning on a flight.. A huge gap! These new car with technology upgrades should have simple quick refence items to help customer get situated to where the controls are and how to quickly access them. Just putting them into gear sometimes is challenging to lococate or how they operate... I might get the silmar car but nothing is the same place...or the same way.”
