I want urgent attention to this matter. Today we visited the UTC Brooks Brothers' store at Sarasota. While me and my daughter walked ahead, my 17 year old son was walking behind us. A white, much older, salesman came, and racially profiled my son. And when I turned around and asked my son what he was saying, my son was in disbelief and I knew something was wrong. So we walked out of the store and my son explained to me that the salesman asked me what my race was and categorized us according to my skin color. We tried to get to the manager but they didn't let us talk to him, so now we are writing this review, and we will check back to this account to see if the manager reaches out to us.
I'll try to find the email of store manager or CEO of Brooks Brothers.

My fiancée has shopped Brooks Brothers exclusively for years and each time Jeff has been top notch!
He is always personable, incredibly knowledgeable and beyond friendly. If you are even considering shopping here, you won’t regret it, ask for Jeff!!

Was supposed to receive a phone call from the manager to set up a custom suit fitting. The gentleman on the phone said he isn't allowed and it had to be a manager. I never received that call and now it is too late to have the suit in time for a wedding.

Brooks Brothers must be on its way down. The salesman was so pushy, as well as somewhat misleading. After avoiding answering directly my question and trying to push a suit on me that didn’t fit properly, and when I firmly stated that it did not fit properly, he was done with me. He walked away quickly since he figured he wasn’t getting a sale. Such tactics do net seem befitting of a what is ostensibly a quality store. Low class for the prices you are prepared to pay! Why would such a salesman be hired? The answer must be the first statement mentioned in this review.

Happen to be at UTC and was so happy to see this Brooks Brothers store open. Hyde Park and downtown Sarasota stores have been closed. Melodie was so nice to help me pick out and try on some shirts. She went out of her way to search in the back for some merchandise. I ended up buying several shirts and a polo. Thanks again Melodie!

This Brooks Brothers location at University Town Center in Sarasota is a great place to shop for quality clothing for all occasions. I really like their selection of ties here and was able to find a few that I have not seen before. The staff here is very accommodating and involved. Happy with all of my purchases.

Got the assumed look that I could not afford to purchase anything. Dropped over 500.00 on 4 shirts and a pair of slacks, all the while under the careful eye of what I could imagine was the store manager. Won't be back, if I did not need what I purchased I would have left. NEVER assume that a guy in cut off shorts and a Tee cant make a purchase, ultimately this was the most rude non-verbal exchange I had encountered with a staff member. The guy who took care of me was nice, but defiantly was not happy to be there.

I went to BB a few weeks ago to buy a suit for an upcoming business meeting. I found a great suit, but it needed tailoring. I was told there was no one to do this and it would take 3 weeks to send the suit to Brooks Brothers in New York for the tailoring. Or I could contact someone locally but I'd have to pay for it. I didn't need to suit for 2 weeks and 5 days so I asked if the process could be rushed by 2 days....."No." It would take 3 weeks. I asked why they wouldn't pay for the local tailoring knowing that manual labor in Florida would be much cheaper than in New York and that without the cost of mailing the suit, this would be much less expensive for Brooks Brothers, let alone a better service for me. I was told that this wasn't possible. The employee volunteered that the "higher ups" at Brooks Brothers liked to make things complicated and that it had been decided that Sarasota was just a tourist destination so that there was no need to focus on more formal clothing like suits. I decided to write Brooks Brothers Customer Service about this situation. It's been three weeks and I haven't heard a thing. I spend about $3000/year on Brooks Brothers clothing. Generally I like it because it is reliably good quality and mostly, Made in America. But I still can't accept or understand the experience I had and why a few simple accommodations couldn't have been made to save me as a customer. I won't be buying clothes at BB anymore.
