Rude, never in the bank always ON LUNCH. Everyone that picks up the phone at this bank is a woman with a Russian accent….weird. I don’t think any men even work here or for any BMO. I asked for my cashiers check that I received from BMO to be cashed at this specific downtown BMO Location. They told me they wouldn’t be able to do that for me. They wouldn’t be able to order the cash and they wouldn’t try… So I would have to go to another bank and deposit it. I needed cash that day…isn’t that what banks are for? I feel discriminated against. They seem like AI robots to me—emotionless. Except when they want to discriminate against you THEN they have feelings.

I called a BMO location a few weeks ago on Beneva and was told a rep would call me back. No one ever called me back. I decided to try again with a downtown branch and had so much more of a pleasant experience. I called in the morning and spoke to Maureen to help schedule a same day appointment. She was very friendly and responsive, calling me back within 15 minutes to schedule an appointment. I met with Joaquin this afternoon and was very impressed with his extreme level of professionalism. He is also very personable and a great listener. He took his time with me and explained my options very thoroughly. I highly recommend him and look forward to our ongoing business relationship.

The downtown branch is fantastic. I really feel like I’m banking with a family owned bank. They give me fantastic service and always address me by my name when I come in.

Any type of simple banking transaction takes 3-4 times longer than it should. If you don't have a debit card (for business accounts for example) it takes forever for them to find the accounts in the computer. Its really difficult to comprehend and does not inspire confidence.

If you bring them a check that is from them and issued to you, they will refuse to cash it. Also, when you request literature that defines that policy, they refuse to provide it. The bank manager said "that is private internal information".Would leave zero stars if possible.BMO discriminates unfortunately. Perhaps I should have wore nicer clothes and cleaner shoes to enter their new downtown location. :(
