Don't buy from Bassett -Nice staff at store , but terrible customer service and product ! Poor Reviews speak the truth !

The visit to the store and the ordering process was pleasant, nonetheless, the craziness began upon receiving the sectional. The chaise seemed like the Bassett factory put old springs in the sectional. It was squeaking so much we could not sit on that part (chaise) of the sectional. It took several weeks to get the chaise repaired and I had to follow up with Bassett because they never bothered to schedule the repair. Then there is the pillow situation. We received one of three pillows when the sectional was delivered. This was followed by a delivery of an accent pillow cover We were told at least 3 separate times that a new order for the missing pillows had been placed. No pillows yet and we are nearing the 90 day mark. I really expected more from Basset with regards to service and product quality. I would not recommend purchasing from them.

Beyond awful & unacceptable. Two leather recliners, photo after 2 days in home. Poor workmanship on both and they are making us wait to get new leather and reupholster in OUR home! Owned 3 months, this how they look and are infrequently used .. cust Svc coiod care less that in prob be August before attempt to redo is made. This should have been immediately taken back .. I've made many purchases over many years from Bassett this is my last .. no one cares AT ALL! I entertain a lot and show my guests what Bassett offers. They are appalled as well. Take a look.

We went out to lunch and stopped by to look at dining room sets. (see my review on Ethan Allen as it's quite different). We were approached by a clerk and I wish I could remember her name but I cannot. We were looking at a table at the time and she asked us what size and shape we were interested in. She said we could customize it. Then I told her we were just looking today, we're building a house that won't be ready until late fall and her attitude totally changed. She said, "Oh" like that was a terrible thing and a waste of her time. Then she rudely and promptly walked away!We browsed through the store and although there weren't any other customers there at the time she never came back to check on us. In fact we never saw her again. We noticed that their prices were very similar to Ethan Allen's. We left, knowing that we will never go in another Bassett store again.

ordered a custom sofa for $4,000. terrible quality, terrible customer service, terrible delivery service, ghosted by Sarasota store, terrible company. It's been 10 WEEKS since we complained (immediately after delivery of sofa). Still NO resolution. in fact, we paid MORE for a resolution within 6 weeks....we have been ripped off utterly by Bassett. do not buy anything from these jokers.

I will NEVER buy anything else from this place. Customer service post delivery is the worst I have ever seen. It’s been 6 months and at least 6 calls and I still have not had a quality issue addressed let alone fixed. Do yourself a favor shop somewhere else.

Poor customer service and poor quality. The prices are not cheap but far from inexpensive. If you are interested in getting a poorly made product with even worst customer service choose Bassett.

We purchased a furniture set for our lanai. The quality of the furniture is excellent and we're very happy we chose Bassett. Toni was fantastic to work with - highly recommend working with her.

My husband and I regret purchasing our living room set, dining room set and large area rug from Bassett. We spent thousands upon thousands of dollars to receive the cheapest quality furniture around. You’d be better off with Rooms to Go. As soon as Elizabeth received our payment, she was done with us. Now we have a couch that has a loose arm and floating staples that customer service hasn’t bothered to address since delivery. We will never be returning customers.Update: We have contacted customer care MULTIPLE times and still the same result. Zero response back. Customer care is very nice on the phone, but that is where it stops. I highly recommend spending you money somewhere else.

Toni Jones, design consultant at the Bassett store in UTC Center, Sarasota was wonderful to work with. She was very knowledgeable and was readily available to answer our questions as the process progressed. The delivery of our furniture was well scheduled and the two young gentlemen who brought our furniture in were considerate, careful, and helpful. We are very happy with the quality of our sectional. We will be return customers and will recommend Toni and Bassett to others.

Not So Magnificent Motion. BenchMade, Not Bench Mark.I so wanted to love Bassett Furniture and it’s Magnificent Motion Sofa. I wanted to put Bassett Furniture in the same league with Ethan Allen, Arhaus and West Elm Furniture. They are price wise for a lot of their furniture, but for Quality and Customer Service, Bassett remains a pretender. Fighting above its weight class and loosing.I purchased two (2) sofas from Bassett. A Magnificent Motion Sofa (now rebranded as BenchMade Motion) and Studio Sofa. These sofas as advertised with starting prices of $5,299 and $1,777 respectively. So they are not cheap. I purchased a sectional from Arhaus in that price range and kept it for 12 years. I bought a dining table set from Ethan Allen and I’ve had it for 20 years. This is what I expected for a $5000 sofa from Bassett.The Magnificent Motion Sofa has been problematic since day one. It looks great, but the motion binds the seat cushion with every use. Maybe this is why Bassett has rebranded the sofa. But the BenchMade Motion is the same flawed design. We’ve tried every remedy Bassett suggested including replace the Cores (seat cushions) with their firmest and most uncomfortable cushion and it hasn’t fixed the issue. A piece of the motion sofa frame broke as a result of this binding, and it has gone un-repaired. It’s now been 17 months and Bassett’s Customer Service has been pleasant, but incompetent. As comparison, when we bought the Ethan Allen table, we noticed a flaw in the wood, and Ethan Allen made us a new table. When we took delivery of the new table it didn’t match the original chairs, and Ethan Allen allowed us to take back our old table, all for no charge. Our 12 year old sectional from Arhaus had an issue with the frame at year 10, and Arhaus repaired it in less than a week. Bassett has made excuses for almost 2 years and failed to live up to the level of service they pretend to provide. Customer Service is not a difficult thing. You provide a quality product and should your product fail to meet your customers expectations, you resolve the issue to the customers satisfaction. Or you cease to exist as a business. Time will tell.When it comes down to it, Basset is your parents or grandparents store. Similar to the old style car dealers who slap a veneer of modernity on decades of bad bait and switch tactics educated shoppers only find irritating and off-putting. Bassett is disappointing and a little sad. Beautiful in appearance, disappointing in real life.

I worked with Toni at Bassett and ordered some pillows and fabric. I was amazed with the excellent customer service she provided. Toni followed through and called me with status updates twice a week. It didn't matter that my order was small. She said she treats every customer the same way. I have never received this kind of superb customer service from any furniture salesperson. Thank you Toni, you are the best!!!

Ordered a custom made ottoman; after months of waiting for it to arrive we were extremely disappointed. For over $1600 we expected a quality piece, instead we received something we could have ordered on Wayfair for about $300! The seams are all mismatched and the sides are lumpy, really not what we expected!!

Great store with beautiful furnishings. I have purchased furniture for three rooms in my home and have been highly satisfied with the quality and workmanship. Outstanding customer service!!! A big shout out to my Sales person Lisa Falconer, she is exceptional ,a true professional!! I highly recommend this store!!

We just received a custom order couch that took over 3 months. We were very excited it was coming. That was our mistake. Delivery crew tried to state it would not fit through door. Issue was the two could not lift it. They dragged it through door. The leather and frame has multiple issues. Maybe from delivery maybe from manufacturing. It is leather and is powered recliner. They did not make sure it worked or even attach cushions. No power plug. Customer service said they will mail one. No ETA on when. Asked us to document issues and send photos. No manager at store to help. Sales person away also. We now totally regret the purchase and will have to spend our time trying to get it fixed. Poor product and terrible service. Beware.
