We were all so sad to see the devastation on our favorite place to vacation, Sanibel Island, by Hurricane Ian. I had rented a week in Sanibel and a week in Captiva for this Christmas Holiday. I did not want to call right away and cancel my reservation, waiting to give them all a little time. Within two week of Ian, Sanibel Holiday called and emailed me offering me a full refund or the option to rebook for next year. Unfortunately we chose the refund, due to the fact of not being sure where the island would be in a year or two. My account had the money in it that day. I would love to say the same for the Captiva Week.. they never called me.. after numerous times of trying to email etc. I FINALLY received a call and they will not return my $9800.00 saying I did not have trip insurance and they are releasing my money to the owner on December 30th. American Reality was horrible, and I am now out almost 10,000.00...... I WILL NEVER RENT FROM ANYONE ELSE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND SANIBEL HOLIDAY TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE.

We have been happily renting with Sanibel Holiday for decades, until our most recent trip. The unit we had at Coquina Beach was a little worse for wear when we checked in, mainly some staining on the carpets. We didn’t tell Sanibel Holiday because we assumed they knew, and also we were so happy to be on holiday after extended COVID lockdowns in Canada. After returning home from Florida, Sanibel Holiday informed us that we were being charged for the stains on the carpets (the ones that were there prior to our check in)After some back and forth explaining that we have rented for 36 years without incident, they refused to give back our deposit. It’s very frustrating that if I had taken pictures or videos of the unit when we moved in, this would have been avoided and I could have proven that we were being charged for damages we did not incur. This is very much a case of being guilty until proven innocent, which we obviously can’t do because we didn’t take pictures.Unfortunately we will be using Royal Shell for future rentals, as Sanibel Holiday does not seem to value three decades of customer loyalty.

Booking with Dave Bunch was wonderful. But it went downhill from there. I am a realtor and understand professional photos can be deceiving, but goodness. After a busy day of traveling and arriving to our condo the A/C was broken and the thermostat read 80 degrees. The unit itself was incredibly dated, dusty, and appeared to not have been touched in some time. Food crumbs in the silverware, used toilet brushes next to each toilet for our toddler to reach, the cable was out, centipedes in our children’s room. I understand things happen - but this was a huge letdown. I’ve emailed twice now with zero response. Sanibel has been a special place for our family for many years and we wanted to give this booking agency a try, but never again. Your money would be much better spent on a nicer property.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Sanibel Holiday from August 11 to August 18. The place was beautiful, and we enjoyed Sanibel Island. However, we were informed after inquiring 5 WEEKS after the fact, that we weren’t receiving our security deposit. Our security deposit was $200 and was supposed to be reimbursed. It came to our attention that we had broken a chair in the bedroom, which we were unaware of. We didn’t use the chairs in the bedroom since there is a bed in there, a living room couch to use, and kitchen chairs. The chair in the bedroom had no use and we didn't use them. My boyfriend and I took a video of the place minutes before our departure, with the chair standing on four legs. Please see the screenshots below from our video with the time stamp. We were sent a photo back, where a vacuum is wrapped around the chair and the chair doesn’t have the same angle from our photo. If something was broken, why wasn't a photo taken during the assessment? Not as they were cleaning. See picture below. If we had broken something, why weren’t we informed that day or week? Why did we have to inquire 5 weeks after the fact? It is wrong that we weren't informed ASAP, and we were still the ones to reach out after not getting our money back. My boyfriend and I were very kind and understanding when the bicycles at the rental were broken and when the washer machine had dead bugs and a dead lizard in it. Why didn’t we receive the same courtesy back? Our story wasn’t heard as we were being genuine and honest. It seems they just wanted our security deposit for extra revenue. We are furious and feel as if we’ve been scammed, we genuinely did not break the chair and would never break something without letting someone know. My boyfriend and I will not be visiting Sanibel Island ever again and will not recommend this place to friends or family, so they aren't accused of something they didn't do.

Sanibel Holiday has been helping us experience Florida nirvana for over 15 years and it's hard to imagine anyone being more helpful or friendlier than the staff there. They go way beyond what they have to do to make our stay as perfect as possible. No organization could do better or be nicer!

I've had excellent experiences with Sanibel Holiday over the last 7-8 years. They are friendly and helpful. They've found me places to stay on a moment's notice when I've had flights canceled (due to New England snowstorms) or a last-minute decision to extend a vacation. And all the condo units they've booked for me have been superb---beautiful, well situated, clean. I highly recommend them.

We've rented through Sanibel Holidays for 6 years and found them to be professional, courteous, and responsive. Not being one of the very largest agencies on the island, they make a point of knowing who you are and how they can help. We advocated to stop one of the wildlife ponds from being filled in and they supported us, using their network to lend weight to what turned out to be a successful effort. They are prompt to meet any needs that arise during our stay. We recommend them without hesitation.

We have been working through Sanibel Holiday for the past eight plus years. Sanibel Holiday has always demonstrated a high level of professionalism. Courteous, to the point, always timely and accommodating when possible. When we have had problems with a rented unit, Sanibel Holiday has reacted on a timely basis. My wife and I have been visiting Sanibel for 45 years and continue to be happy with the service given by Sanibel holiday. Finally, the employee turnover does not appear to be high for we have been taken care of by the same people for the past several years.

Friendly, well-trained staff. Fast response on condo maintenance requests. Complimentary copies/faxes is a good extra touch.

We have been customers of Sanibel Holiday for the past 10 years. This speaks for itself as far as our opinion of this agency. We have always been treated well. We have primarily worked with Rebecca. Angela is also very nice.
