Where Sanibel Happens. The Community House is a unique and special community center/event venue rich in history that has been serving both Sanibel and Captiva Islands since 1927. Located on Periwinkle Way, the Community House was recently renovated and expanded and specializes in special events, weddings, birthday parties, celebrations of life, corporate meetings, corporate events, fundraising events, nonprofit events, social gatherings, art classes, shell crafting classes, arts and crafts fairs, exercise classes, cooking classes, community events, in-house catering, performing arts shows, and seminars.
