The facilities for this place aren’t the best due to reconstruction from the hurricane. There are only Porta Potties around the beach. However, the parking is the standard 5/hr and is right on the beach front. This beach is amazing for people who love to collect shells, the collection on the beach itself was fantastic. The water was very moderate in temperature, and there are sandbars so the water is very shallow and is perfect for little kiddos.

Beautiful beach near the Sanibel lighthouse. Unfortunately, the damage caused by Hurricane Ian in 2022 is still visible.Parking very expensive. 10.00 $ per hour. Constant control. Payment only possible via machine and credit card. There is also a toll of $6.00 to drive from the mainland over the bridge to Sanibel. This somewhat spoils the beach visit.Restrooms: Dixie Toiletten, Duschen im Freien.

Absolutely beautiful beach. The water was shallow and you could walk so far out. Tons of beautiful seashells, too!

We love this place for shelling! Pretty sure it's world famous. The no-seeums are no joke at dusk. Holy moly! I thought they were just a nuisance but I'm left with 100s of bites like I was on an episode of Naked & Afraid. Just don't be out there at dusk or dawn and leave everything alive back where you found it ?

We visited this beach on October 22, 2023. There was a restroom but it was a portable unit. There is still much to be done after Hurricane Ian. It is still a beautiful beach with lots of live shells! Plenty of shells to collect as well. The water was clear and warm. Lots of available parking.

Found so many great shells, unfortunately it was rainy and windy so not the next day to be shell hunting but it was definitely worth it.

This place was nicer before Hurricane Ian and will be nice again when the repairs are completed. Like the rest of Sanibel, this place was hit very hard.We don't get over here often, even though we're not that far - because $6 for the causeway and $5/hrs to park makes it not worth it. Apparently the locals prefer we don't come at all. Happy to oblige most of the time.

I was so glad to be able to access this beach, especially after the hurricane damage from last season. So many shells! This was my grandson's first shelling experience. It was nice to see there were buckets provided for people to come pick up any trash or debris washed ashore (or left by messy humans). It was nice to see local families out there in the early morning doing pick up. The bathrooms are not finished being repaired yet, but they do have port a potties on site.

The clean up is still taking place and will continue for a long time to come. The views are gorgeous, but wear shoes on the beach and in the water. The water was not clear like it used to be. Things have improved a lot since Ian. It felt great to be back on the island that we love, but feel the sadness of the island and know what these people have gone through.

Seashells galore! The cutest little beach. However, there was an awful odor. I'm not sure if this is a result of the seashells, a sewage problem, or purely the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Either way, the abundance of seashells well outweigh the smell. I didn't think I'd be able to find anything special compared to Fort Myers Beach, but there were SO MANY to pick from. If you're looking for incredible seashells, this is the place!

Great beach. Only downside I would say are the sand gnats. We were there around dusk and gotten eaten alive. Still trying to recover from the bites 3 days later!

A quiet and relaxed place to spend the day. The heat and the sun were very intense but if you stay in the water you don't feel it so much… By the way, the water on the beach was very pleasant.
