Thankyou for Google GPS, I looked up pinch a penny near me; was in Seminole county at an appointment. I saw this business, walked in and they took care of my chlorine and salt palettes. They were all great!

I went to the store today to have my chlorine jugs filled. I told one of the guys working there that I thought one of the jugs had a leak and he said he would test it out within a few minutes. He said that the jug was fine. They put the jugs in the back of my SUV and proceeded to go do a couple of errands within 10 minutes of leaving. I started to smell chlorine. I pull it off the side of the road and saw one of the jugs had leaked on my carpet. I ended up using a plastic bag and placing the jug in the plastic bag and headed back to the store, two of the employees came out and saw where the jug had leaked on the carpet. However, the manager said this was basically my fault because I did not have a rubber mat in the back of my SUV. My carpet smells like chlorine the manager at the store refused to do anything, he even charged me for the second jug. I have been doing business at this store for over 10 years and this far is the worst experience that I have ever had to top it all off I was lightheaded and nauseated from inhaling the chlorine for the limited amount of time that I did it, this could've ended my life.

Beware of these new owners at Pinch A Penny St Rd 46 Sanford. Just like many others, eg. McDowell's, they tend to replace the customers chlorine tank with one that is cracked or crack it themselves. Usually on top of the tank at its corners. I've been going there 19 years and never had this happen with the previous owner. I did have this happen many times with other pool supply stores. I should have checked my tank becuase I marked it underneath with a permament red magic marker and I didn't until now, 4 weeks later. Check your tanks, mark your tanks before visiting their store(s).

Jason at Pinch a Penny saved the day!!! They are so knowledgeable and caring there. My pool was in a crisis less than 24 hours before I had a Grad Party at my house and Jason gave me the perfect solution/Super Shock recommendation that 100% fixed my pool prior to the party!!!! I was so relieved to see the pool turn crystal clear blue the morning of my party. It was for sure a HUGE relief to see it had turned just in time. For sure "saved the day" for me. It was so important that it was good for this day and he cared enough to listen to me and know how to fulfill our needs. 100% recommend this locationm.

After the new owners raised our rates by 30% without providing any additional services, I fired them. Thank god I did. On the first visit from our new service, we were told that our salt cell was at 1600 when it should be at 3000. Pinch A Penny was just throwing in chemicals and never bothered to maintain our salt or clean the cell. They also never told us that our water level was too low, which is why our pool was never clean. Not sure what I was paying them for. My new service made 3 visits in the first week to clean up Pinch A Penny’s mess.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Even though there was a line and they were busy we had someone greet and assist us within 3 minutes or less. One person refilled the container and another helped answer specific questions. We were in and out in about 15 minutes. (Had a lot of questions and took me a hot minute to find the photos I had taken last of the tile because I forgot to retake them today before coming in).I already forgot his name, I think it's Robert. (Sorry!) He was super helpful in helping me determine what would be the best option to try and get some scaling that has been in my pool since before we moved in. We have some issues we are still trying to get sorted due to a terrible freelance pool guy we had last year that never swept our enclosed pool and never had the chems in balance. Appreciate the great advice from the associate (Robert?!) and everything they told us was in-line with everything we've learned on the trouble free pools website (volunteer professionals blog). I mention this because many places try to sell you a bunch of unnecessary things that require lots of extra items to undo in order to keep a balanced pool. I'm super happy they only sold us exactly what we needed to keep our pool balanced and what we needed to clean the scale off of the tile water line. (I haven't tried the title scale cleaner yet but will update if there is any issues). NEW OWNERS!Seem to be really great at this location. It's a bit closer than the other location we used to go to in Lake Mary.

If you have no other choice... service is meh. Old management used to be more conscientious but my last visit the tech no only didn't assist me to my vehicle with multiple items, but also didn't tighten the top of the chlorine that leaked onto my shirt. Not happy.

I used them for 4 months, however, was never satisfied with the end results. They would clean the side of the pool, but never cleaned the bottom. They were just here yesterday and my system says low salt. There is algae on the bottom of the pool as well. The pool is only one year old. My previous pool cleaner, zero algae and zero issues. Unfortunately, they went into retirement. Also, they poured in salt and made a stain at the bottom. I notified them multiple times, but they never truly followed up with me regarding the stain. Just generic emails every month to say that they were here.I know it depends on the individual servicing my pool, but the company never really addressed the multiple issues I brought up.

Pinch-A-Penny, Sanford on I-46, did a great job with my pool. 1st, Andrew (owner) repaired my 4 yr old Zodiac MX8 pool cleaner. He is a jenious (Genious) with these & it is now working like new. Next, I purchased a Hayward CL 200 chlorinator to replace a worn out Nature 2. Jason (pool repair expert) came to do the replacement (no leaks), & also did an excellent installation. Highly recommend for any pool repair or maintenance you need to be done right at a fair price.

I have used this pinch a penny for nearly 3 years. As of today, I will not step into this store ever again. Andrew quoted me a $40.00 charge and Bill insisted it is $150.00 for a service call. I paid the ridiculously high service fee and it’s been 7 days and my pool light is still not installed.
