Owner Judy herself was very unprofessional over the phone. Her employee was extremely helpful and advised me to speak to Judy for a second opinions for taking in my cat. Without listening to what I had to say Judy had accused me of trying to step over her employees head by telling me they already said no. Not knowing they told me to ask her. Judy realized she was wrong and hung up on my face. Her employee was extremely helpful so I would hate To have such a bad taste in my mouth but as the owner you represent your company, so unfortunately, I’m going to have to give a negative review.

We’ve had a lot of success through the years in finding the perfect companions at Pet Rescue by Judy. We adopted Massey, Casey, Lily, Fred, and now Maggie (formerly Salinas) from Judy. Judy helped find just the right pup to compliment the others, mostly by having us bring the dog we wanted to find a new friend for. By doing it that way, she’s able to see how their temperaments, energy levels, and personalities match up. She’s never picked wrong! Pet Rescue by Judy is a wonderful asset to the community.

We recently adopted Lucy (formerly Marnie) from Pet Rescue by Judy and couldn't be happier with the experience. The process of adoption was straightforward and well-organized. The staff took the time to understand our lifestyle, our current dog's disposition/size, and preferences to ensure they found the perfect match for us. They were incredibly knowledgeable about each dog's personality, background, and needs, which helped us feel confident in our decision. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, and it was evident that the dogs were well-cared for and loved. I appreciated that the rescue had taken the time to provide any necessary medical care and behavioral training before allowing the dogs to be adopted.Lucy has brought so much joy and love into our lives. She's not just a pet, but a cherished member of our family. I'm grateful to the rescue organization for giving her a second chance and for helping us find our perfect furry companion. Her big brother, Bandit, is also loving his new best friend. If you're considering adding a pet to your family, I highly recommend adopting from Pet Rescue by Judy. Not only will you be giving a deserving animal a loving home, but you'll also be supporting a wonderful organization dedicated to saving lives and promoting animal welfare. Adopting from a rescue truly is a rewarding experience that I wouldn't trade for anything.

I greatly appreciate this rescue. Although it took a while for us to get a fur baby, I greatly appreciate the work and effort they put into making sure the pet goes to the right family. The amount of work and care they do is above and beyond. Thank you so much for all your work in recusing pets and finding the right home for them. AL-Pooshinu (a.k .a. BlackJack) is doing great.

Judy doesnt hide her hostile attitude in the replies to the low reviews here. I got denied for adoption and I’m kinda glad I did. It was for something unrelated to my ability to care for the cat. I put in the app that I fostered a lot of cats before but they ignored that part too. This place just seems like a bunch of unnecessary drama and a lot of wasted time.

We adopted 2 cats from Pet Rescue by Judy. Our second cat got out the front door one hectic morning (It's tough as a single Mom with young kids getting out the door in the morning!) and we didn't realize it until we got home that evening. It was traumatic and we immediately started asking neighbors, posting fliers, and calling locals vets and shelters. It turns out that our cat made it back to Pet Rescue by Judy. Judy called me the day that we were unaware that Joey (our cat) was missing. She said it was National Cat Day (it was not) and she was checking how Joey was doing. I told her he was doing great completely unaware that he had gotten out of the house. The next day I called Judy again to let her know that Joey was missing and asked if she had him because by this point her phone call the day before seemed very odd. She lied to me about having Joey even after I told her that my two children were crying about him being lost. She then accused me of having Joey treated for a dog bite at a local vet that I never used. Joey was a strictly indoor cat with nothing but routine visits to the vet. I hung up the phone, left work and drove straight to their facility. Our Joey was there and terrified! The ladies had the NERVE to charge me a $60 rehoming fee and not once apologize for the lie. I went to her website that night to write a review and they had posted Joey up for adoption. They were planning to adopt our kitty out when we were begging to have him back. If I could give zero stars I would. Please do not adopt from this rescue facility unless you would like your family members pets stolen (and lied to about it).

Judy is too old to be in the pet rescue business. The staff is rude and their "regulations for adoption" are ridiculous. I feel for the poor pets that end up in her world!

Update: Yes, Judy, I have found the perfect dog for me. From a responsible breeder!!! :)Judy is the most irrational person I've ever met. We've been trying to adopt a puppy for weeks and Judy had several we were interested in. We adopted our late dog from Judy in the past so we figured she'd be a good person to get another dog from. Boy, was I wrong. We were all scheduled to meet the perfect puppy this week, we arrive at the shelter and she all of a sudden tells us we cannot adopt the puppy because we don't have another dog for it to play with. It's a puppy, it can very well adapt to not playing with a bunch of other dogs all the time. I could understand if he was bonded with another dog, but he was not. He had just arrived to Judy's from a kill shelter. No where on the website did it say this particular puppy needed a companion. After trying to reason with her, she still said no and proceeded to try to get us to adopt a dog that we told her we had no interest in. It was like she was trying to pull a bait & switch on us on a dog she couldn't find a home for. So then we found another puppy from her that we applied to adopt. After almost scheduling an appointment, they all of a sudden decide we cannot adopt an animal from them at all because we did not have our previous pets vet records. No where on the website does it state they need previous pet records, only current pets. They wasted our time because they knew this information all along and then all of a sudden decided they did not want us to adopt from them. Her logic makes 0 sense. No wonder they are always at capacity and in over their head with animals. They make it impossible for people to adopt.
