They delete derogatory reviews. If you're looking for reviews regarding the Sanford animal shelter be weary because the bad reviews are being removed don't waste your time with these unprofessional rude girls go to the pet alliance on Central avenue in downtown Orlando they are much nicer kinder and more professional

What a nice group. These animals could only be happier with their forever homes. The volunteers here give them the best experience they can and it's reflected by the animals they serve. Please consider opening your home if you're able.

Pet alliance is a wonderful rescue that does what they can and offers a great abundance with assisting in rescuing an animal! I had went two weeks ago and ran into such a sweet boy rescued from the cayman islands and we have been providing him with much love everyday! If you are looking to rescue an animal, please do so there is nothing better than giving these fur babies a second chance for a loving home!

I adopted a kitten from the Pet Alliance in Sanford. I noticed my kitty was scratching his ears and had a lot of black dirt in his ears. I mentioned it to the assistant and the vet during the post adoption exam. They examined my kitty in the back so I didn’t see what they did but the vet said everything looked good. A few days later my kitty is scratching worse and shaking his head. I took him to a local vet who took an ear sample and examined it under a microscope and found ear mites. My poor kitty had to suffer longer than necessary not to mention that I had to pay for an additional exam that could have been avoided. I would suggest listening more closely to concerns with more thorough examinations. I called the center to report this and was told a manager would call me back so that I could voice my concerns however no one ever called me. We will not use this facility again.

Stay away from this place they’re just out to get your money. I adopted a dog which I really had no time to spend time with because she was in surgery. I took her home. She had some bladder issues where she was peeing in her sleep. I took her back and they told me it was more of a house training issue than any other thing else. So because of that I have to forfeit $260. Make sure you have all your ducks in a row and this is the dog that you want to get from because they’ll screw you over

Our adoption of Snoopy last week from the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando was incredibly easy and stress free. The personnel in the Sanford office and kennel area were friendly and answered all of our questions concerning Snoopy and the adoption process.
One staff member in the office was so kind to us when we called to inquire about Snoopy and received a free hold reservation to see him, because he was a senior dog. It was obvious that Snoopy was well taken care of. He had all of his shots and we received a complete report from the vet at the facility.
The office also allowed us to bring our dog, Eliza, to meet Snoopy, which is not permitted at some other shelters. We brought her vaccination history with us and once that document was approved by the staff, the two dogs had a real opportunity to meet each other. Snoopy didn’t display any aggressive behavior toward Eliza, a good sign that he would probably do well in his new home.
The final registration was trouble-free; we were asked a few more questions, signed some forms and were able to take Snoopy home with us. We know he will become a wonderful new addition to our family. Much thanks to everyone at the shelter for their kindness and caring attitude toward their clientele, both human and animal.

I’m sorry, but not only with having poor inventory on pets or I feel lied to when I manage to finally get myself a pet but things didn’t work out and then I wanted to surrender then they talking about that they booked for months in advance like how the hell Most of their kennels are always freaking empty anyways how do they not have the space? This place has truly been like just horrible and their staff rude they basically just shoo me away when I was just asking a question.

They are amazing! a vet that actually cares about the animals more than just making money. Thank you guys so much these poor animals some times have to suffer because vet bills are ridiculously high and most people can’t Afford them.

I definitely do not want to deter anyone from adopting from any place. But I will definitely warn you to please make sure that the pets that you are adopting are properly quarantined before taking them home. The staff did admit to me that the pet that I took home was not quarantined, and I was given a very sick animal that could potentially make my other pets sick. They had no empathy and no professionalism towards me or my family when I came in to speak to them about it. Please train your employees or volunteers to have a heart and be empathetic. Also, please take care of these little animals properly before handing them to their forever homes.
