Bad service, when you return
There is no one in the car and then they charge you charges that do not correspond, I spoke to the Manager who said that they would refund the charges more than 3 months ago and they never did.

The Employee named Justin, quite clearly told me that in response to my claim for charging extras that did not correspond, he was going to charge my Hertz account for 3 days of free car, not only liar but also rude, he never did it. Avoid renting from this Agency.

The worst part was that I was trying to return the car for about two hours and there was no one in the Hertz lobby to guide me because the internet said it was open, they only gave me one solution and that was to literally leave it at another company. I hope they return my full deposit.

Very Disappointed with Hertz customer service at the SFB Airport. When I picked up the vechicle on day 1,
I over heard a business customer expressing frustration about Hertz closing their return gate in the evening. When it was my turn, I asked the Hertz employee why they are locking the gate, his response was when they only have a few cars being dropped off in the evening, it’s just easier for them to lock the gate and have the customer drop the keys off at the counter rather than the drop box.
It sounds like Hertz is more concerned about what’s convenient for them rather than their customers.
Fast forward to the end of my trip, I dropped off my vehicle around 7:30pm, sure enough the gate was locked. I had to back up the car to get back in the one way traffic that is moving around the terminal…Completely unsafe. When I went to hand off the keys to Justin, the Hertz employee, he asked where I parked the car, I told him in the lot directly next to where we were standing. He told me I had to get back in the car and move it to a different lot. I said that was unacceptable and asked what he would do if I left the keys and walked away, he said he would keep my rental agreement open and charge me an extra day. Wow!
Then I said okay well what if I wait here until you take these keys from me. He responded by threatening that he would call the police on me. At that point I no longer wanted to argue with someone that clearly has no customer service skills. I got back in the car and drove around the terminal again to the lot that Justin wanted me to park the car in. It sure would have nice and less embarrassing if they would have explained things better from the beginning. I will just switch back and take my business to a company I’ve always rented from, that goes above and beyond for the customer, that would be Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Jason was amazing in staying later than normal as our flight was delayed. Also helping our family with a vehicle upgrade as our original vehicle was too small.

On 3 occasions that I rented at Sanford airport they closed the contract badly charging overcharges that do not correspond and when I made the claim they told me that the contract was already closed and they could not make me the return and that they returned it to me in points which did not happen and when I complain again they answer me that the system is slow. They do not have staff to receive the vehicle and then they close you as they want the contract by caying you additional ones that do not correspond.
BE CAREFUL, DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT CHECKING YOUR CONTRACT CLOSURE

Nous avons attendu plus d'une heure en file, car ils essaient de vendre des voitures plus de luxe aux gens. Ils insistent pour te convaincre d'acheter un Toll pass, comme si la passe était absolument nécessaire... Une chance que nous l'avons refusé, car les voies payantes étaient facilement évitables. Service clientèle décevant, surtout lorsque tu refuses leur arnaque, ils perdent le sourire et l'attitude se détériore. En plus, suite à un problème d'auto immédiatement au départ, ils nous promettent une remise de 3 jours gratuits dans notre compte client. Mais finalement, aucun crédit n'a été ajouté à notre compte et nos courriels restent sans réponses.

Amazing experience, very helpful staff, and Ops Manager! Everyone was extremely nice and helped resolve an issue with the rental I was driving. I will continue to use this location for all of my travels to Central Florida!

Horrible experience! I picked up a car from the Hertz location on Rinehart Rd, Sanford Fl. The vehicle had engine problems. I was told I could exchange the car at the Sanford Airport, because they had no others cars at that time. I drove over to the Sanford Airport to exchange the vehicle. When I arrived, I explain to the return agent the situation, which she responded "We're not doing exchanges, and my manager is not going to exchange your car with an attitude." I walk to the airport door, and realize I left my rental agreement in the car. I go back to retrieve the rental agreement, and I overhear the return agent on the phone telling someone not to exchange my vehicle. She then comes out of her booth and tells me she just spoke with her manager and they're not exchanging vehicles. I inform the return agent that I would like to speak with the manager. I was informed by the return agent the manager was on the lot and would be in shortly. I proceed inside to the front desk. The manager never comes inside. At the rental counter, I explain my situation to the rental agent. The rental agent responds, "oh yeah, you were the one exchanging. We're not doing exchanges, but let me call my manager just to be sure." He steps away to make a call. He on the phone less than 10 seconds, before he returns to the desk. The rental agent returns and tells me he doesn't have any cars available for an exchange. So, I was forced make a new reservation at the Sanford Airport for the same vehicle. The rental agent charged me 1- days rental, plus tacked on additional fees for closing out the original rental at the airport. The cost for them closing out my original rental totaled me $135.90. I didn't even have the car 30 minutes. Additionally, the new rental at the airport cost almost $80.00 per day, plus additional fees tacked on by the rental agent. I rented the same size car, so I challenged the information provided to me that they had no cars available. The rental agent told me they have cars for rentals, not exchanges with a sly grin. The manager never came to the front desk to speak with me. My experience was horrible. The staff was horrible. My rental car doubled in price. This Hertz location is crooked. Please beware, and be careful when renting from this location.

Wth. Our flight is delayed and we need to contact someone from your location and no one picks up the phone. What kind of business is this? It says you closed at 11pm and we called from 9:30pm-10pm and no one answers. Do you not care about customers?

I have rented cars across the Globe with Expedia but I think this was my first time using Hertz. The total cost was way over and it is very hard to get someone on the phone. The cost was to be less than $1400 and it ends up being $2187.39 and they also has a hold of $501.00 on my credit card for a grand total of $2,688.39 way over $1300 on the agreed price. I have tied several numbers but can not get a hold of Hertz. They also has a bunch of hidden Fees. I will never rent from them again. No there was no damage to the car and it was returned with a full tank.
