I have to give a shout out to Dollar Rental Car, in particular, Kristine L, from customer service. My father rented this car for a week (which was not cheap) and returned it early thinking that the price would at least be the same and that he would get a partial refund for the unlimited toll pass that he bought for all 7 days. It turns out it was $15.00 more expensive and the people at the airport couldn't do anything about the toll pass. I emailed their customer service department and explained to them the situation. Kristine L. ended up refunding my father $135.00. She emailed back that same day and was extremely understanding. HUGE shout out to Kristine L.!

DO NOT rent a car from DOLLAR / hertz . Had a flat tire, they wanted to charge 80 to send someone to put the DONUT tire on then we had to return the car 40 miles away to exchange it for another. Rented from enterprize preciously and as soon as we contacted to them (which took about 5 minutes) they sent someone right out to our location with new car. It took me almost 2 hrs to reach anyone from dollar they just kept letting it ring then they would disconnect, finally reached someone in India, which I could not understand and ended up calling AAA to come change the tire and I had to return the car to exchange. DONT RENT FROM DOLLAR / HertzTHEY ARE HORRIBLE‼‼ They had no co corn for our Safety at all

TLDR: I was charged a fraudulent $55 fee with no means to dispute. I drove about an hour from my hotel to the airport in Orlando with no issues. Upon arrival, the tech was apparently taking a break, although they had only been open for about 15 minutes. I turned in my car and the representative standing at the turn-in area could not be bothered to give me any kind of receipt or paperwork, perhaps that was my mistake for allowing him to be useless. Then I went inside and asked the counter representative for a final receipt, she told me that I would need to download it online, again perhaps my fault for allowing that. Then I boarded my flight and arrived home to find that they had charged me $55 plus tax for a tire repair. I experienced no problems during my drive to the branch and the tech made no mention upon turn-in. If such a repair was necessary, average cost for such a repair is 1/3 that much. When I called Dollar (national office) to ask about this charge I was first told by Gloria that I could not in any way dispute this charge and she hung up on me. I called again and was told by Abel that I could only dispute the charge by contacting the actual location. The phone number he provided only went to the national office and back to his office, there was no way to route to the specific branch, a fact which the next national office rep (Ed) confirmed, there is no number they would provide which would reach that branch. Ed advised that I drive to the branch and discuss it with them. I explained that like most renters I was from a different state and that was not a reasonable solution. I asked to elevate the issue to a supervisor and was promised a return call from a supervisor within 24 hours, that was three days ago.

Pretty easy. Nice car. The thin lady with the longer blonde colored hair was not very nice nor patient though. ??♀️. Rental car place itself was great, but the employee made a star get taken away due to her rude and unprofessional customer service.

Poor customer service. Not willing to help with a problem. Associate offered no other option. Also insisted that I have to have a flight out in order to rent a car. Avis stepped in and got me a car with no questions asked!

They quoted and charged me 200 based on 100 per day and then charged another 270 and changed rate to 180 per day. I feel like i have been scammed by dollar. I am planning to submit formal compliment so this doesnt happen to someone else.

We purchased our car rental through priceline. We picked up our rental car at Sanford Airport and returned it there. After we returned home I was looking at my credit card charges and seen Dollar Car Rental had additional charges of 186.11 when I called I found out I had a charge of $52.47 for gas charges. When we said yes to gas at the terminal for gas we were expecting maybe a gal or 2 gal of gas charges because we filled the tank of gas. when I found out the charge was for a full tank of gas. First of all they the teller should have said something, and I guess we were just to anxious to get the car and start driving to our next destination for our vacation we didn't think of asking questions. and we can't find that charge we had in it in our contract. I won't deal with dollar car rental again since this happened.

We were told two different things while trying to rent a car from here. The person on the phone told us one thing but when we went to pick up the car the lady at the terminal was extremely rude and unhelpful. She just kept repeating the same policy over and over in a very condescending voice. It's fine if you can't help us but you shouldn't work with people in a customer service position if you can't handle speaking to people! Do better Dollar car rental or hire better people.

My whole experience with this company was a complete disappointment. Let me start at the beginning, after getting off our plane(which was delayed) we find nobody working the desk and a whole waiting room of unhappy customers. After realizing apparently they have left we then have to pay for a cab to the hotel and back the next morning to get the car. Upon inquiring if we get a discount for losing a day with the car that we’ve already paid for we were told it was up to the web

I would like to thank Reyna and Roger at Sanford Airport for exceptional customer service. We picked up a car on Feb 11, 2021 late at night, the smiles, and professionalism was awesome from start to finish. When we returned the car on the 14th of Feb, they were also there and the courtesy was still the same. Roger and Reyna keep bringing smiles to your customers. Good customer service is important, because you never know who you may meet at your counter. Darryl and Mae (NC)

Easy and quick. The only thing I didn't like was the vehicle I got (Ford Edge.) The lights look like they're LED and you can't see anything at night unless they're on the brights. Also FYI if you get this car, there's a button next to the knob that you press to turn on the actual light and not the dimmers.

RENTER BEWARE : A Tall, Thin, Erratic, Loud, Blonde with Ponytail EMPLOYEE named ******LISA****** is the REASON for the 1 Star. She has been reported multiple times of verbal abuse, erratic behavior, loud condescending "talking" that is actually close to screaming, scaring off customers, and refusing and "canceling" their contract for a car if you so much as have a pin hair of a "tone" with her at the Rental Counter. Ironically, LISA starts off "condescendingly" scream-talking at you when you are even remotely close to the counter. And have to adhere or augment yourself to not be alarmed. Also. This was CONFIRMED by not only 3 customers who Volunteered to State as a Witness to Report LISA to Hertz HQ via their Customer Service phone line and Vouch for the scene she has created in less than 20 Minutes. Keep in mind: this is NOT the first time LISA has been reported.Honestly, I am not even that "type" of person to leave these reviews. I truthfully don't care. And everyone is stressed. It's COVID, I get it. People are going through s**** I try to assume I have no idea what she might be going through. Background of this complaint: I have worked in NY, Miami, Orlando, and LA in customer service in both admin, lounges, nightclubs, phone customer care, hotels, private event spaces, and restaurant industries for 10+ years and have dealt with everything from High-Profile Clientele, Celebrities, Tourists, Entitled guests, and those who simply need a moment to vent etc.. I understand it all. And I am non-judgemental and non-vengeful. : Trust me when I say, I never thought I'd be writing this. I get it.HOWEVER, this was something beyond understanding: especially since this was CONFIRMED with her colleagues that work with her regularly that this is "her behavior" and everyone is used to it by now. Which makes this a problem, because it's one thing if someone is having a bad day. Hey, I get it. Like I said COVID. but it's another thing when this is normal. That's basically like a landmine waiting to explode and why would I NOT warn customers? It must be reported for unsuspecting domestic and international travelers know. While waiting to check-in for my 9AM Reservation for a Car Rental made 1 Week Ago. Ensured all details ahead of time (I rent cars regularly) -- I am used to the courtesy and responsibility to have everything simple for the Agent to not have to go through any headache. I am trying to make their job easier.1. Thrifty, Dollar, and Hertz: are ALL affiliated. Most customers do not know that. I Even Did not Know that - and have used all of them. I Reserved and Booked with Thrifty at First.2. I Entered the "Rental Car" facility of the Sanford International Airport and saw all the front desk agents for Budget, Enterprise, Avis at their desks. Thrifty is located at the front with no Front Desk in sight. I called Thrifty Reservations and asked them if my Reservation is okay and if there is a misunderstanding of why there was no Employee at the desk. After a very lovely and helpful customer service team on the Phone (there is no problem there) she helped me understand that I can simply just transfer my Reservation with Hertz. Then enters this situation. Keep in mind, while I was on the phone calmly re-arranging plans with Thrifty/Hertz HQ : the same corporate customer service agent called to report the agent at Thrifty was missing. As this was going on, we hear Loud Screams from what we would soon to find out is LISA : telling off some guy who is simply trying to find his reservation and location for both the same issue we are going through. Being that this is none of my business and thinking "Wow, maybe he said something derogatory or sexual to her unnecessarily for her to react that way" we [ I was with my 74yr old Mother who has diabetes and high blood pressure and is glycemic was with me. Trust me this gets worse ] assumed maybe this screaming and loud eruptive behavior was necessary an
