After considering my options, I am going to leave this here. We have been coming to this vet practice for about little over a year now. I requested a medication refill for my dog who has been on it for the last 2 years. They decided to decline the prescription due to a veterinarian actually never seeing my dog. It's hard to believe after over a year of visits and the money paid for a "exam fee" that a licensed veterinarian has never set eyes on my dog. Very frustrating.....

I have never seen dogs so happy to be here. They act like they are are going to the park or for a ride. The staff is always bright and friendly. Our tech Chas always takes great care of our high strung scaredy cat chocolate lab Oakley. Thanks Diana for assembling a great team.

I couldn’t have chosen a better clinic. Everyone was friendly and most of all they treated my fur baby like he was part of their family. They were very thorough an his health care. I highly recommend the clinic.

I have a new Puppy, The staff and Vet at SanAntonio Animal Hospital are excellent! They take the time to explain what they are doing, each step of the way and why its important.Facility is clean and does not smell like animals.Overall ten out of ten:Veterinarian's, staff, friendliness, appearance, prices & cleanliness of facility.Keep up the excellent work. New client here and just took my cat for a routine exam and vaccines. By far, one of the best vets I've been to! All staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. I mentioned I was switching vets because my previous one seemed to have slacked off on their cleanliness and the receptionist even went out of her way to clean the room for us. Will for sure be recommending this vet to others. Very happy with my experience today!

Dr. Mattox and the staff are great with my fur babies. They are thorough and communicative. They are very compassionate and empathetic. You can tell they care.

I spent $750 in almost a week and the doctor had NO answers. One test was a blood test the other was for cushings disease. The blood test showed highly elevated ALP and high triglycerides. My dog was having issues walking and standing, drinking a gallon of water every 2 days, and a very swollen abdomen. The only response from the doctor was, well we can do xrays to see if she has kidney issues or something else, or we can just watch her over the next month. I took my dog to another doctor and after looking at the blood test knew immediately to do an ultrasound on her liver. My dog has severe liver damage!! My dog could have died had I waited like the doctor at San Anronio hospital suggested.

We are new to San Antonio, but are lifetime pet owners and finding a new veterinary practice can be challenging. The San Antonio Animal Hospital team are absolutely wonderful!!! We will recommend them 100% because their care and compassion is evident in the way they interact with the animals and pet parents too. We felt like their approach was the perfect balance of thoughtful, practical and professional.
