Silver Glen Springs Recreation Area is a popular day-use area and important archaeological site with constant 73°F crystal-clear water, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. It features enormous ancient middens beneath live oaks. The area has plenty of parking, picnic tables, and an allocated BBQ area. A small store sells cold drinks and snacks. Entry is approximately $15 per person. Vehicle access reservations are required on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Staff are noted as friendly and knowledgeable. Visitors highlight the beautiful, clear, and blue water, noting there is a lifeguard on duty. Restrooms are available, but some note there are no places to wash hands. It is considered a perfect place for a family day out.
