I was going to come in and open an account at the bank downstairs but the elderly woman security guard told me I was unwelcome here and had to leave as I wasn't a tenant of the building very aggressively. When I explained that there wasn't a sign that said only tenants were allowed in the building that had multiple businesses, including the UP salon that I WAS interested in, she said that she IS the sign and escorted me out aggressively. First time in my life I have EVER felt racially profiled. Will not be stepping foot in this building again and taking my business elsewhere.

Have been going to Kim for about 13 years and she is fantastic. She's beautiful inside and out, and very talented. Her building has a lot with free parking and the salon is very Covid safe.

I love up salon and my stylist Kim. I live in st pete beach for 5 months during the year and have actually considered flying down here to get my hair done during the summer. She is amazing. Knows exactly how to get the look/color you crave and does it with lots of charm. So grateful to have found her. ❤️

I got my hair done here a few months ago and was never happy with the results. I got a balayage and it came out super yellow toned and my hair looked half dark blonde and half yellow at the bottom. I complained and only then did she (the younger stylist that works here) add toner and added in highlights to make it slightly better. It was just overall not what a balayage should look like at all.

Kim has the patience of a saint! I have been going to the same hairdresser for many years, was in St. Petersburg for a meeting, and needed my hair done. Kim made her suggestions (improvements) and listened to my ever changing ideas. When done, my hair looked positively GREAT! Plus it held up for several days with high humidity and winds. I could not have been more pleased. If I lived in St. Pete, Kim would be my hair dresser!

Kim is possibly the best stylist I have ever had in my 64 years of existence. She has a certain flair about her that she passes on to her clients' hairstyle. She is the best...friendly and always smiling. I always walk out of Up Salon loving my hair.
