Tonight I had to stop and get gas. I noticed a homeless, drugged out looking man wandering near the pumps, so I told the attendant. He said he would watch out for me. He walked me to the door, looked at the homeless man, and watched me walk as far as my car. As soon as I started to pump gas, this man starts wandering my way, looking around, and looking towards me. I then notice the LARGE knife on his belt. Awesome. The owner literally left me alone in a dark parking lot after I informed him that there was an intoxicated, creepy person on the property who turned out to be armed. There was no way for the owner to see me from inside. This could have ended so badly.

Friendly family-owned business with courteous staff, great wine selection, and great Cuban sandwiches.

Stopped in here just for the Cuban sandwich which, gets rave reviews from another website. The store is very crowded and lighting is poor. However, they do have a large selection of wine and convenience items. The deli counter is small and the staff was very brief. Multiple hand written signs and rules show that this place is definitely family operated. The 'traditional Cuban Sandwich' was a great price at $3.99 and served quickly. I found it to have an overload of mayo and not much meat. I've heard that this store gets super crowded at lunchtime mostly because of the Cuban sandwiches. After having one I assume it's just crowded with people who are time pressed for lunch. Two stars because I've had better and I'd recommend another place that isn't very far away.

Don't let the outside fool you--very good Cuban sandwiches await inside. Go to the back (right) counter and ask for the #1 Cuban, toasted. $3.50. Seriously. Take it to nearby Vinoy park, enjoy, and watch the boats go by.
