The food is very good from the deli but I’ve never seen the employees swap gloves after touching non food prep surfaces. My fiancé and I like to play a game where we try and figure out which surface/object will contaminate our food the worst! I’d love to see some training on this enforced because I know working in food service sucks so I’m not going to complain or single anyone out but it gives me anxiety watching it happen.

Shy from the deli took care of me and making a sandwich after 9pm. He made conversation and made me smile and laugh. In which I returned the same.

I lived in St. Pete/Kenneth City for a short time and this was the Publix nearest me I’d go to. I really want to just leave a message for the woman in the Bakery who Made the Pan De Queso bread. I specifically went to this Publix just for this bread. One of my favorite breads in the entire world and I was lucky enough they had this woman working there who knew how to make it. I’m from South Florida and lived in Miami for a while and have had many Columbian friends in my life and a previous friend’s mom would always go to the Columbian bakery and bring back some Pan de Bono (basically the same as pan de queso, but in a small roll/bun form); I was hooked. I don’t remember this Publix employees name, but she was super sweet. One day I came in to get a loaf and they were out and I told her how much I loved the bread and she told me she’d make a loaf just for me and I could pick it up the next day. Really can’t thank her enough for that sweet gesture. As long as she worked there I kept coming back for that bread. Honestly one of the highlights of living in St. Pete during that time. Little moments like that I’ll never forget that makes living in a certain area special, is the people that make it a little extra worth living there. She may not have realized what that meant to me, but I looked forward to that bread and I got to share it with my roommates who also fell in love with the bread, so thank you Bakery woman, for being there and making that delicious bread.

The sub lady here is incredible. Such a joy to be around. She does like to talk tho so your sandwich may take a little longer but totally worth it.

This store has gone down hill. Had an issue recently with a new guy in the liquor department who had horrible customer service skills. I know sometimes we can all relate that the chicken is sometimes a bit soggy or whatever the case is so per usual I like to throw them in the air fryer for some extra cooking time. Welp, this time around I decided to not do that. Guess who got food poisoning for the first time and 3 hrs later?! ? 2 bad experiences within a week. Let's do better guys, please.

The new guy at the liquor store has horrible customer service and was very nasty towards me when I simply asked if they had a certain rum, his response was disgusting and treated me like I was stupid, he assumed I knew he was new and which I didn't until he said so, I don't ever want to buy anything if he's there?. The deli needs to do something about cooking their chicken all the way because my wife caught salmonella from raw chicken wings and its not the first time I get home and noticed the chicken under cooked. Bloody hell? hey Publix what's going on? Get it together!!
