I saw online that they examine ferrets. Called, confirmed this was so and booked an appt. The veterinarian was friendly, we were there about 10 mins and told to come back if conditions worsened. When they did and I called again I was told that the Veterinarian I saw is retired and can’t really diagnose anything anyway and was referred elsewhere. Somewhere far more expensive and not near me. My question is…..if this was ALWAYS going to be the case….why did I have to spend any money in the first place for a bogus visit. I had to also pay a new “exam fee” at the place I was “recommended” to go. The whole thing was a major rip off and I’m very disappointed in not only the receptionist but also is the “retired veterinarian” we saw. If you’re retired and can’t diagnose then either say that from the get go so people don’t waste money or have a talk with your receptionist so she isn't making your practice look like a money grab and go. I would NOT recommend anyone taking their FERRETS to this place. And while I’m sure that I’ll get a nice snarky reply about how this is my fault. I want to know why anyone with ferrets would go here if ultimately nothing can be done in the end.RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE- Again….if all that can be done for FERRETS is simplistic in nature, then we should be let known that in advance….$75 FEE down the drain. I don’t care what you say but I should have been told the visit would be simplistic in nature especially AFTER I had described the reason why I was bringing my ferret in! I told the receptionist about her issues, I was not told that a nail clipping and other superficialities are all they can offer.

Really awesome experience all around. They are always on time for appointments. Our dog Ted is a complicated case and has a lot going on (allergies, skin stuff, ear infections, etc). Dr. Scribano took his time with us and created a treatment plan to get to the root cause as opposed to just treating symptoms. Our previous vet would just give him antibiotics all the time which it turns out, he really didn't need. He's been so much better lately and I am extremely happy with the service that we have gotten here.

This was hands down the best vet I have ever been to. My cat hates the vet. She’s quite literally terrified every single time we go. I recently moved to st Pete full time so I was nervous to try a new vet. I explained to them how much she hates the vet and they were so accommodating. The receptionist was sweet enough to have a room ready when we got there so that she didn’t have to see the other animals. The vet tech Sarah and doctor both sat on the floor with my cat and we’re so patient (she isn’t the nicest). I never felt embarrassed for having a cat that doesn’t love the vet and I truly appreciated them. Not to mention she got great care and they know what they are doing! Take your fur babies here!

Ride to vet was hellacious. His GPS wouldn't work. 1 block away a straight shot north on 4th. He wouldn't listen to me. GPS was all over town turning us wrong ways. He would not listen. Ride home from vet Kathleen was a no show. 4801 4th st. N. Is intersection of 48th n. And 4th n. ONLY yellow building. I gave exact directions.. she said, "I'm here at brick wall." Wow. No brick wall where I was. Even receptionist helped me look. Driver left. I never saw her. I hope I never have to call lyft again! ?

Everyone is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They are always willing to take the time to answer my questions and explain my options. Really grateful to have found them.

Like many Downtown businesses they gouge the affluent client base with unnecessary charges - i.e., a groomer who wouldn't groom my wee Papillon without a $150 lepto vaccination. It wasn't the cost, it was the reason given and the guilt games played at my expense. The receptionist got the dates wrong, which delayed the process by two weeks. They truck on the attractiveness of the neighborhood. My darling is an indoor dog. She never gets close to other dogs. She WANTS to go inside. The air cleaner runs 24/7. She has never been given tap water. How can could her health have declined from her vet's telling me at Anclote Animal Hospital in that he could tell she had been very well taken care of to this mess? She's now going to Northeast Animal Hospital. She has NO medical issues. We shall see.

The vet techs here are always super nice and friendly. They tend to get through appointments pretty quick, too, but never make me feel rushed. I have had good experiences each time I’ve been here (4 or 5 times now).

Our pups and us have had such a great experience. The team members are caring and supportive. The veterinarian team are such passionate people. They take time and care to ensure all questions are addressed. The entire team is awesome with the pups and demonstrate how much they love animals. We give this a 5-paw rating!

I have never owned a Persian cat before. He was willed to me by a good friend. However, I began to have violent sneezes during the summer. This went on for almost two months. Then, I took him for his grooming session and confided my problem to our groomer, Tara. They called us when the session was over and when I picked him up, the groomer told me that she gave him a lion cut... "A What ? Why ?" says I. "Because of your sneezing problem" she answered. The result is that my sneezing has diminished to almost nothing. Tara solved ALL our problems !!! Our petting, cuddling and grooming sessions have greatly improved ! Thank you Tara !

We brought our ferret into see this vet this week. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel at ease. We felt so comfortable that will be bringing our cat & dog in for their annuals now. Chose this vet because of the great reviews & that they could see “pocket pets” but will be coming back because the Dr was awesome!

My visit to the Downtown St Petersburg “Pets in the City” was a great experience! Dr. Scribano is a very knowledgeable, professional & caring Vet❗️He has taken care of “all” of my Alaskan Malamute’s over many years and he “loves” all animals❗️I highly recommend him & his very professional staff. Very convenient if you live in downtown St Petersburg for routine medical checkups, health concerns, & grooming❗️
