These guys had my car in total for 3 weeks. Didn't fix the original issue after getting my car back and giving it back. When I got it back it the second time it had a new issue it never had for the entire 5 years I've owned the car that they wouldn't fix despite them being the only people working on the car. Every time I left the shop my engine light was on within 24 hours. Wanted to have a fixed car and leave a good review, but instead had an awful experience. Skip it and go somewhere else.

James and the staff were awesome. They were my second opinion and the first told me a needed a new transmission and they tested and it did some minor repairs and saved me thousands!!! They have great integrity and their service was quick and effective. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them.

I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra 6 speed manual transmission that was grinding when I tried to shift gears. I looked online for a local AAMCO with good online reviews and found the shop on 5th Ave South in St Petersburg. I called and was able to get an appointment for a free inspection the same day. Within a few hours, the car was diagnosed as needing a new clutch and I was given a detailed and reasonable estimate. I decided to proceed and was given a day the following week to pick up my car. A leaking seal was discovered resulting in a delay of a few days. The communication with shop manager Austin throughout this process was excellent and he was very knowledgeable about transmissions. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Austin (Powers) is your man with supernatural transmission skills and abilities. Look no further. Bring it on in for service to this location. Had a 2002 Jeep Liberty transmission slipping like a wet duck on grease. Took it to a local shop for eval and they swore it needed a rebuild for several thousand dollars. Read the reviews here and took it on it for an expert eval. Turned out transmission was fine, just needed a good power flush, filter, tlc, etc. Now shifts finer than a new car. Spent a few hundred bucks instead of a few thousand. Take your car here first and get it checked. What have you got to lose? Five Stars For This Location.

I’ve never had to have a transmission replaced or rebuilt. Well after coming to this shop, with a thousand questions and was satisfied with his response. I decided to go with them and this was the second shop I visited and I knew. They did a great job on my transmission and my A/C. Very friendly. Austin is your guy, when you call in they communicate with you and explain what’s going on and great to go to if you have warranties considering they have experience. Very popular and affordable pricing. Plus they had availability when other shops were booked out for maybe two months.I was upset because my car had been there for awhile. Aamco transmission and Austin literally saved me $1000.00 on my A/C repairs, I was given previous estimates, at other places, well over $1200.00 and Aamco fixed it for $200!!! Thank you and I definitely recommend Aamco for any of your car repairs!!
