Although this location would be more convenient for me, I did stop going here. The store was always in disarray, filthy and service was non existent (especially at night).
I went in there today and immediately upon entering the store there was a different feel. As I walked through the isles I noticed things were changed around, items were hung, it was neat and wasn’t as filthy. I needed help and the young lady (with cornrows) was nice and helpful. I asked her if they’re re-doing the store. She said they started a few weeks ago. I told her it’s coming along nicely.
NOW, let’s see if they can keep it this way. I know there’s a shortage in quality people that have quality work ethics. Try to stop hiring people out desperation, STARTING WITH MANAGEMENT. (Not sure if it’s the same manager now, but she needs/needed ALOT more training. Everyone isn’t built to lead). I can give horror stories on why I stopped (in the past) frequenting this location.”
“This is one of my very favorite Dollar Tree locations...The employees Jessica, Eric & Candace are all so wonderful & I always enjoy talking to the 3 of them...If I ever need assistance with finding something, they're always so nice in helping me...Thank you very much, to all 3 of you...”
“This is probably the cleanest and most organized Dollar General I’ve ever been to. The aisles are clear of carts and clutter. The shelves are stocked and nicely faced. Very easy to find items.”

“I love Dollar Trees, but this is the best one we have visited. We are in from out of state and needed some snacks and toiletry items and they had tons of great options. Banana Boat sunscreen $1.25 for 3 oz (it is $12 for 7oz at the grocery), Harry and David’s flavored coffee, tons of great cosmetic items, etc. the staff was helpful when we needed to locate something. I highly recommend this store!”

“I went here to buy big huge bag of dry dog food that my dog eats. Shelves were empty. I’m disabled and it’s difficult for me to get out and drive to store to begin with so I was distressed that I’d now need to go to another location. I asked employee, Heather, if she’d check in back for unstocked new shipments and she gladly stopped what she was doing and returned with the bag I needed! “There’s a lady who works here that is so sweet, funny, and nice I love her!! She calls everyone sweetheart and is just such a kind and uplifting soul. She brightens my day every time I see her, I don’t know her name but she is the best. All the other employees here are great too. On another note, the store recently changed the layout and added more $3, $5 etc. items and price scanners. I know corporate probably made them do it but the new layout sucks and makes no sense logistically. Makes it hard to shop, they should have kept all the makeup, hygiene etc. all in one place not spread out around different aisles. And the price increases are a no for me, might as well just go to Walmart now.”

“First time in here today. Exceeded my expectations from wht I have seen in the past on these stores. Yeah no fresh produce in this food desert, but that is high loss. Could use some frozen vegetables at least. Certainly similar to the crowded lanes in Walmart but man its close. Not bad. The selection was decent and no problem. Give this a 4 star for something left in this desolate part of St Pete.”

“I came in the store tonight. And Gavin was checking me out.. His Service was above and beyond what I would expect..
I had to have my debit card replaced today because of fraud. So i had limited funds available today being its the weekend. I ended up being a few cents short and he reached in his pocket to cover it. Was greatly impressed on his customer service skills. He has made me a customer for life.”
“I'm like right down the street. Great prices, very convenient, and They always have what I need. My kids always up in there cause it's so close and they are snack maniacs. I recently found my sweet tooth items for a reasonable price. And they have smooth drink's to my liking. Cosmetic that I need to keep myself cute. Yes I love my dollar general. Come check us out. “Amazing compared to my other option two blocks away AVOID:Family Dollar their store is always a cluttered mess has smell of a pet store or better yet its likely odor of RODENTS infestation.Specifically SMELLED of rodent matter!!! “I was looking for a folder to put a document in, they didn't have it. I had to buy a stack of construction paper to carry the document without getting damaged. The place was a little disheveled and not very organized. Not a great experience.”
“I stoped by the dollar general to pick up just a few last minute things for the holidays. Super stressed out and tired as I’m sure everyone is this time of year, and then I got to meet their lovely employee Josh. He was so upbeat, cheerful, and helpful. He defines holiday spirit. After I checked out he noticed a stalled out car in front of the store, and after making sure the registers were covered he and another employee helped push the car into safety in a spot, and he joyfully went right back to work. I feel the Dollar general is lucky to have such a positive and hard working employee. The holiday season is difficult for everyone especially this year but he was able to bring a smile to my day. I will definitely be returning because of his uplifting attitude.”
“Love the Dollar Tree!This store is my favorite because of your friendly and helpful staff. Danny, Kelly and Sabrina were working on the registers and greeting folks as they entered the store on 12/08/22 and made my shopping experience a delight. “This is my neighborhood store and I'm here at least 3 times a week sometimes. The staff has gotten to know me and my family and even recognize my son and his likes at local restaurants, because they're your neighbors too. They're also probably overworked and underpaid. If you're just stopping in and they're a little frazzled, please don't base your impression off one visit. I guarantee regular customers would say something different because they truly care.”
“I absolutely love the manager there (Don) as well as the assistant manager (Doug) they are both very hard workers but also make me laugh on a regular basis. I use to live near the DG Don worked at before he was transferred to this store. When he was transferred I was so sad to see him go. Lucky for me I moved a couple months after he was transferred and am now by his store again. Even more luck when I heard Doug was also transferred here. I give Don and Doug a lot of credit that's for sure. There is a lot that needs to be done in that store in terms of stocking the shelves BUT you've only got so many people that work there. Ave unfortunately there are people who will work the register and then when they're not busy just stand around rather than finding something to do. Not everyone is like that but there are a few. And the reason they do it is because they know they can. They know that it's hard to get people to work these days and that they need all the help they can get. Therefore they take advantage of the situation to the FULLEST!!”
“The people who work at this store are very very nice...me being in wheelchair they help by opening the door especially if I'm having a bad day and just don't have the umf to push that door open...they are very knowledgeable about there store...if I can't get something of a high shelve...all I have to do is just ask for a little help...they always make me feel that I am genuinely shopping in My store”

“Shoutout to this location and Racer!! We had a last minute thanksgiving fiasco and needed some ingredients, but of course nothing was open at 3:45pm. We saw that this location was still open and stopped by to grab vital ingredients and they had everything we needed! There was no line, the store was clean and well stocked, and the man who helped us was the sweetest. He thanked us for coming in and made us feel welcome even for just a short exchange. I believe his name was Racer. He deserves credit for helping us saving our thanksgiving and alleviate a lot of stress!”
