We stayed here for a couple of nights. We had the mermaid room. Very nice accommodating to all of our needs. Definitely five stars. There are a couple of things that we would have liked different for us, but it doesn't mean everyone would want the same thing. This is just a suggestion, and by no means should it take away from the beautiful location. A small microwave in the room would have been nice to warm up a cup of coffee. They do have many great things to choose from downstairs but would have liked to have the option of a microwave in a room. A large microwave downstairs would have been nice also to warm up any leftovers. This is just a preference of ours. The last and final suggestion we have is that the door should have some type of weatherstripping around it. There was quite a bit of light coming through.. please keep in mind that this is an interior door to the inner part of the house. Just for privacy. It may be possible to put some type of door sweep on the bottom of some of the light from the center corridor area. Definitely love this place, and you will, too

We found a diamond in the rough! Melissa was very inviting when we showed up after a long day on the motorcycle. The room was very nice with a king bed. Super quiet and in a nice location. The shower was amazing!! We would recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area! Thank you for the great experience. It was far superior to the Days Inn the night before and was cheaper!

Loved the location. The St Marks rail trail is just across the street. Cooter Stew's has the best food and night time bands at the Riverside which also has a Tiki hut on the river. We stayed the the Mermaid room which was spotless. Amber does a great job with attention to details. We toured around while there. Went to Tallahassee for Bohn Thai and Ology brewing. Also went to the light house nearby and longer trip to Apalachcola where we had lunch at the Owl and beer at Oyster City Brewing across the street.

Where to begin? The owners, John & Melissa are hospitable, kind people. Prior to check in, Melissa sent a wonderful, very informative text with our room info, some helpful tips, and easy to follow instructions on getting our room key. She was quick to respond when I had some questions. Upon our arrival, John introduced himself & gave us a quick rundown. He graciously answered any questions we had & we went inside. Once we entered the Inn, the first thing I noticed was the remarkable scent. It was sweet, yet subtle, and I have a very sensitive nose! No harsh chemical disinfectant odors here, yet the Inn was immaculately clean. No dust on anything. Not the corners of the beds, the decor, the door frames, or even the light fixtures. We stayed in room #3. It’s got a very comfortable king sized bed and pillows, linens & towels that were extremely soft & smelled as if I’d done the laundry myself. No bleach smelling linens that are hard & scratchy. There were thoughtful little personal touches everywhere we turned. A couple of cold bottled waters in the mini fridge, a little snack on each of our pillows, & a heart shaped box of chocolates on the bed. It was a Valentine’s/ birthday get away for us. The room was appropriately & tastefully decorated in the “ seaside” theme. The shower is a bit small, but the water pressure was phenomenal & the hot water just kept coming so it got the job done. The bath tub was like a small pool, with jets! My husband and I fit with ample space, and had our two adult children been with us, they would’ve fit with us as well. We wandered the Inn & made it to the lobby, where I would’ve happily slept the night away in the massage chair. The snack area was well stocked & they thought of everything. Fresh fruit and snacks, a Keurig coffee & tea station with flavors & types for even the toughest critics. I frequently depleted the zero sugar French vanilla creamer (it’s my go-to & I was pleasantly surprised they even had it) which was always refilled by my next trip downstairs. My husband has a sweet tooth, so the chocolate milk, candy & Milano cookies were such a treat! Water, soda, tea, juice, iced coffee - the variety seemed endless. It was cold outside for our blood, but the temperature inside the Inn was toasty & comfy, not dry and stuffy which is hard to achieve with the heat running. The porches are well lit & peaceful. There’s a regulation sized pool table with felt in excellent condition, nice cues, short sticks, a bridge and all the bells & whistles for a nice game. There are fans for when it’s hot & outdoor heaters for the cold. There’s a lovely garden with goldfish & some coys. We sort of hurried through that part because it was cold. We used the bikes often. They were clean, well maintained, had very comfortable seats with baskets in the front & a nifty cup and phone holder. We used them to explore the local area & stop for meals. Bring a flash light if you ride at night! It’s very dark once you’re off the main road, but we could see every star in the sky. The locals are very friendly and kind. The Exxon up the street has a subway (yes, we grabbed gas station food for lunch), but it was better than the stand-alone Subways we’ve eaten at before. Just FYI, Exxon also sold frozen bait, which is how I pulled in my huge catfish right off the shore late at night. All the bait shops were closed by the time we decided to go. There are local boat & kayak rentals, but it was windy & cold so we passed on that. We had dinner at The Riverside Cafe & Cooter Stews, and breakfast at Savannah's Country Buffett. The prices are reasonable at the local restaurants and the food was good. You can walk or ride a bike to most of them right from the Inn. They also had a live band at Riverside. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to unwind, you have to come check this place out. The experience was wonderful and the hospitality was impeccable. It was like staying with old friends who went out of

Located in a very small town on Florida's northern gulf coast. The best place to stay to see the area. We found more to do here than expected but still were able to relax in the pleasant atmosphere of this inn. Owners are very hospitable and welcoming. The entire inn is exceptionally decorated with many interesting items. We stayed in the Mermaid room and everything in it matched the theme. Room and bath were spacious with nice amenities. Downstairs is a cheery dining area where there is an exceptional selection of coffee and tea and snacks available at any time. It would have been nice to have had a full breakfast service in the morning considering the fact that options in the community are limited. Recommend this inn for a quiet get-away.

The attention to detail at this gorgeous and comfy B+B made it feel like I was staying with family. If you're snacky when you arrive, there will be treat available! Make sure to check out the beautiful garden area, and then take the short walk up to the river.
